You can buy the pins on amazon for £4.20 (inc. delivery) for a pack of 30 (Hemline twist upholstery pins), the plastic is just clear vinyl; available by the metre (and extremely easily self cutable and hole punchable) on amazon for £4.35 (inc delivery) - sold as "table cloth protector" Whilst the producers of this product have clearly had a good idea, why pay their exorbitant prices when you can make exactly the same at a fraction of the cost? Indeed for the same money you can have 5 protectors cut to your own size for the same price!! I bought this product and now feel a bit stupid for being duped thus!!

I bought these to stop my cat from scratching the sofa, (esp the arms). They are only sold in the thin strips not wider strips, as I suppose it is more common for a cat to scratch the corners of the sofa? My cat has never scratched the corners, maybe she is different... Anyway I was rather "underwhelmed" when these arrived as they are a thin piece of plastic, with six holes punched in at the corners and edges and 6 little screw type fixings which were of quite poor quality. Essentially it is the screws that are what make this product great as the plastic cover is just a sheet of plastic and not worth £10.49! It is easy to install as you just screw in the spiral fixings. I haven't taken the covers off to see if they have left any damage but I assume it won't have damaged my (fabric) sofa. They do work which is really great, but they aren't thick enough for the arms of my sofa. Its just a shame these are the only solution (that I can find) to solve this issue, I just think £10.49 for a sheet of plastic is a bit of a rip off!

This does exactly what it promises - stops the cat from scratching the corners of the sofa. It doesn't look all that great and the screws are quite large but it looks a lot better than ripped up sofas! I found that 1 wasn't wide enough to cover 1 corner so have put two on each but otherwise it's great and good value for money.
