Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer star in the Emmy® Award-nominated Two And A Half Men, a comedy about men, women, sex, dating, divorce, mothers, single parenthood, sibling relations, surrogate families, money and, most importantly, love. More specifically, it's about the lives of two brothers, a son/nephew and the many women who surround them all. Charlie Harper is a well-to-do bachelor with a house at the beach, a Mercedes in the garage and an easy way with women. But his casual Malibu lifestyle was interrupted when his tightly wound brother, Alan, and Alan's son, Jake, moved in with him. Despite the complexities of their lives and their own strained relationship, Charlie and Alan have one thing in common: They both love Jake and want what's best for him. As a result, they manage to create a little family unit that promises to make each one of them a better man.

Back On Track 2 Nov 2009
By DL Productions UK TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
Two and a Half Men is a funny look a bachelor life - with Charlie (Charlie Sheen), a gambling, womanising jingle creator, who happens to be a children's songwriter; and Alan (Jon Cryer) a geeky chiropractor, who's been booted out of his home by his ex-wife Judith. He has a son - Jake - who's really stupid - and Charlie has his portly cleaner Berta who is really funny. They all live in Malibu - in a beach house.

Previous seasons have seen Charlie jumping from bed to bed, and Alan desperately trying to find a replacement for Judith, but this one is more settled, Charlie is more committed to his new fiancée and Alan is just still very desperate. Jake is still stupid, but this is very comical and makes the show enjoyable.

Some of the best episodes include the one where Charlie goes to see his therapist, as she's very funny and has a very dry wit. I also liked the one where Alan goes out with Rose and Chelsea goes mad when Charlie can't sleep in her house.

This has really got back on track, at one point it was so silly, with Candi, and Alan winning at Las Vegas, but now the stories are more believable and funny for it too. The characters are still rather unlikeable, Charlie is still very juvenile, but he's still my favourite of the TAAHM; Alan can be frustrating and you can see why Charlie picked on him as a kid, and Jake does have some great lines in this series, and seems to be just as funny as when he was a young boy starting his career in this show. I do feel though there was scarcely enough of Holland Taylor, who's another one who's got dry wit, and it would have been great if Rose had shown up more often in the show, but her stalking is funny - though disturbing.

There are plenty of cameos too, James Earl Jones being the best one.

These DVDs are not bad, all presented in their original 16:9 framing (why oh why does a certain satellite company crop them is unknown!) and all 24 episodes are here. The extras are all on disk 4 too, which is handy as you can watch all the episodes first and then enjoy the extras later; which consist of a feature on Angus T Jones, who is Jake. It looks at how he's grown up as Jake Harper in the show. There's also a feature about the girls of TAAHM, which looks at all the babes Charlie has got through since episode 1 of season 1, and there's a gag reel. For me this is pretty good, as they have put some effort into them.

The DVDs are all in English and Catalan Spanish - with subtitling in English, Danish, Finish, Norwegian, Catalan Spanish and Swedish.

This is well worth getting, it's very funny and you'll come back to it again and again.

the best season 4 Nov 2010
By THOMAS
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have only watched a few episodes but this is the best season because season 4 was when it went down hill for me although it did have its moments personally I prefer the later ones. The funniest one I have seen is the one where a footballer comes into it and jake fancies his daughter. if you are hesitating to buy this do It

The boys are back! 18 Dec 2009
By Stavros
Format:DVD
I eagerly anticipated for season six o two and a half men to be released and I must say I was not disappointed.

Season 6 delivers 24 fun packed episodes that are guaranteed to offer several good laughs.
This season sees Charlie fall in love and experience all the "problems" that come with a committed relationship.
It sees Alan take up new and old hobbies including ventriloquy and model car painting.
It also continues the transition of Jake from the likable goofy boy to a still likeable and goofier than even teenager that starts experimenting with girls and alcohol.

The regulars of the show are still there with Berta being hilarious in pretty much every scene she is in and Evelyn, Rose, Judith and Herb reprising their usual well portrayed roles.
I am a big fan of two and a half men and this season did not disappoint me.
Is it as fun as the previous seasons? Well that's an answer that will vary for each of us.
Personally I am looking forward to Season 7!
5*.
