Great succinct introduction - caveat security,

Twitter: A Pocket Guide
This excellent little introduction to TWITTER does not have an accredited author (Crombie Jardine are the publishers), which is a pity as someone deserves a big round of applause. TWITTER has always seemed a strange concept to me, if GOOGLE search is anything to go by TWEETS are frequently used as pointers to BLOGS, however this book quickly broadened my understanding and clearly demonstrated the why and how of using TWITTER. WARNING - if you are looking for advice on the security issues there is none, except when signing up "Use your real and full name so that other people can search for you easily". HMMM ... this is against everything I have ever learned about security on the internet, I agree this makes perfect sense in the context of social networking, but it raises serious questions about the safety of social networking that should have had a few paragraphs on the implications. However apart from the above caveat this is a great little book.

I am new to Twitter and buying this book helped me save hours of valuable time navigating the site. It is full of handy hints and tips and at that price it is well worth buying.
