Product Description

Product Description

Here comes the release of the long-awaited training DVD from Keith Code, A Twist of the Wrist II. Filmed in Hi-Def and utilising visual effects and sophisticated film making techniques, the 109-minute film brings Code's best selling book vividly to life in a clear and dynamic way, covering multiple aspects of the technical points he discovered. The film follows the journey of two new riders, from canyon roads to track, as they encounter their own limitations and uncertainties in their riding and then learn to overcome them with the correct techniques that apply in each scenario. They gain confidence and control, start to have fun and improve. Once a rider gets the idea there is a technology then and only then can he conquer his fears and uncertainties on cornering and at that point improvement is virtually unlimited. The film delivers precision techniques for barriers to cornering such as rider input, fundamentals on steering, visual skills, braking, body position, throttle control and more. All the techniques are thoroughly explored using multiple camera angles, onboard shots and CG animation in over 1400 shots. It was painstaking, precision work that paid off, this film shows riding technique in ways that have never been done before.

Keith Code has long been known as a riding guru, having worked with many of the best riders in all classes of motorcycle racing.

What has not always been obvious is how the technology of riding was just as applicable to road riders, as to world class racers searching for hundredths of a second savings.

This extremely well put together DVD, with a clear voiceover from MotoGP's Julian, is so easy to watch yet is packed with the best riding advice that you will ever find. Keith goes further than telling you "don't do this, do that" and explains what a motorbike really wants from a rider and therefore, how you go about getting the best from your bike.

Forget trying to adjust your suspension or buying the latest go-faster goodies, invest in yourself and your own riding skill set first.

"So that's how... 5 Feb 2010
..its done." Well, I never realised." "Aaaahh. Yes of course." "Say that again." "I see. I understand that." "What about...yeah, I get it." These are just a few of the thoughts I remember thinking as I watched and learned from the DVD. All the typical errors I was conscious of, and quite a few I wasn't, were highlighted and then given simple, easy to understand expalnations to the causes of these shortcomings in my riding. Followed by the, equally easy to understand, techniques used to overcome these errors and result in my own cornering improvements. Brilliant. Essential viewing, and re-viewing, for every motorcylist.

Poorly edited DVD 5 Aug 2011
Although a fan of the California Superbike School and it's application of the science of motorbike control this DVD is put toghether like a overacted and underperformed faux gay '70's porn movie where you expect someones clothes to fall off. The boom mic keeps coming into view; Code wants to be treated like a god (jesus to yanks); overweight actor with Tom Cruise shades and gruffy voice; Nodding knowing expressions and bluff vocations (IT consultant and a Doctor).

Unfortunately detracts from what are really good lessons for the biker. Surprising for Californians who should be good actors.

Worth it weight in gold
Kieth does tend to waffle on a bit and I dare say that this is biased towards track days but an invaluable aid to good motorbiking. Read more

This was actually a very good DVD, both for technicals and entertainment. The acting is cheesy but fits well with a bike video. Read more

Annoying x 10
My hubby and dad have the book 'A twist of the wrist' and that's okay. This however is rubbish and features people with very irritating accents who just get on your nerves. Read more
