... and this one is no exception. The Legends trilogy is a great read for players, DMs, and those new to Ansalon, or to AD&D. This is the book series that got me started in D&D.

"may you find many useful things, and see interesting sights" -kender proverb, paraphrased.

Raistlin's plans are starting to unravel. Is he able to kick the Dark Queen ? You bet !!!! Wonderful book, full of surprises it's a must have for all DL fans. When I tought that things couldn't be better, Margaret Weis does it.

Despite what some people think about this book, I think this was a great novel. Sure, it lacked excitement in some places, I will agree with that. The plot is a bit sluggish at times, and the book is better if you have time on your hands because once you start, I guarantee you'll not stop reading until the end. There are some wonderfully written parts in this book. For example, the scene with Caramon and the rabbit proves that, despite what most people think, Raistlin is only human after all. Come to think of it, that is one of the best parts in the book, IMO. This is a must have for any fan of the Dragonlance Saga.

Decent story, terrible writing
This is the second book in the Dragonlance Legends trilogy. While it's an improvement on the first novel, Time of the Twins, it's still a poor book. Read more

A great battle between ambition and weakness
Both my son and myself love the Dragonlance books. The danger of the same authors continuing a story-line can be that all that happens is that minor changes are made to the plot... Read more

You need not as for more.
This is a most excellent book as most of the Dragonlance saga. What this book relies upon is not as much as swords and spells.. rather it dwells in more emotion and honour. Read more
