''There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadows, between science and superstition. And it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call…The Twilight Zone.''

This is where it all began - the grand daddy of all TV Science Fiction.

Considering these were made 51 years ago they are still outstandingly good thanks to the high quality writing of maestro Rod Serling.

Great teleplays with brilliant twists in the tale at the end - the only difference between this and earlier seasons is that you get 18 x 50 minute episodes as opposed to the earlier 25 minute episodes - this is because it almost got cancelled and was only brought back as a mid season replacement.

This leads to quite a lot of padding in several of the episodes, but the best episodes easily convert to the longer episode length, namely In His Image, Death Ship and On Thursday We Leave For Home.

Make sure you buy the Blu-Ray versions for the superior picture quality and extras, makes them look like they were filmed yesterday as they have been taken direct from the original negatives.

Shame other series aren't given this high quality treatment.

Simply Stunning, a must buy!

There are very few TV shows that can match THE TWILIGHT ZONE in terms of enjoyablity, re-watchability, influence and pure freakin' awesomeness! Each episode tells a different story and they all have brilliant characters and more twists and turns than a rollercoaster. Every single one, without fail. Despite the episodes growing to an hour in length (rather than previously being just shy of 30 minutes each), this volume remains just as strong as the previous box sets. Included in this set is about 20 episodes including the mind-messing "In His Image", "I Dream Of Genie","Minature" (staring Robert Duvall from THE GODFATHER films), "He's Alive" with the late great Dennis Hopper and my personal favourite episode, "Valley Of The Shadow" which is just insane.

The box set also has a heap load of great extras too including commentaries, radio shows, musical scores from the show, billboards, a saturday night live clip, original promos for the next episodes a photo gallery and, best of all, the Twilight Zone comic book (on the DVD-ROM). Add to that a great picture quality and you have yourself one heck of a boxset that anyone (especially a science fiction fan) would love!

Highly highly recommended!

same ones as we can buy in Canada and the US, only much, much cheaper. as with all seasons, great picture and audio quality and more than enough extras to make you want to buy this even if you already bought the dvds.
