Quite dated I have to say, but none-the-less a great film. Dan Akroyd's intro sequence is entertaining, and ultimately scary, the old people getting young a bit smaltzy but hypnotic, the gremlin on the plane is made very dramatic by John Lithgow's hysterics, and my favourite is the little boy in the cartoon horror house, followed up the cautionary tale of the bigot transported back in time to Nazi Germany. Like I say a bit dated effects-wise, and a bit preachy in places, but four (or is it five) great little movies, directed by John Landis, George Millar, Joe Dante and of course Steven Spielberg.
