Disappointed but please read why........., 3 May 2009
This review is from: Twilight - Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
I already owned (& loved) the Twilight soundtrack when I ordered this item. I ordered this version solely on the basis that it claims to be a special edition containing 2 bonus tracks, one of which being Let Me Sign by Rob Pattinson. NEITHER are on the CD. Very disappointed at what is basically false advertising!! Ignore the 1st review about this CD, it's misleading. You can only get Let Me Sign by downloading off iTunes in America apparently. So unfair!

Going Into The Twilight, 20 Dec 2008
This review is from: Twilight - Original Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Well i'm pretty much obsessed with Twilight at the moment so i bought this and it's one of the best soundtracks i have bought in a long time.
1. Supermassive Black Hole - Great way to start off the soundtrack. Cool music and sexy lyrics. Does sound familiar from somewhere though. - 9/10
2. Decode - First of two awesome paramore track on the album. Absolutely one of the highlights of the album. Powerful and shows off Haley's voice. - 10/10
3. Full Moon - Weird track but i love it. Really addictive. Echoey voices and cool sounding bass and strings. - 10/10
4. Leave Out All The Rest - Different for Linkin Park but its still great. Really fits in with Twilight. It's relaxing but still a powerful song. - 10/10
5. Spotlight (Twilight Mix) - Love the clapping beat and music. Fun to sing along to and another stand out track of the soundtrack and keeps the soundtrack going strong with its psychedelic sound. - 10/10
6. Go All The Way (Into The Twilight) - Ok song but can't really see where it fits in to the soundtrack. Techno sounding. - 6/10
7. Tremble For My Beloved - Brilliant song to put in the album you can really visualise what could be happening in the story with this song. Really cool intro and simple but meaningful lyrics. - 10/10
8. I Caught Myself - I didn't think the second paramore song could be any where near as awesome as Decode but i was wrong it's just a bit more chill. This song is another highlight and very addictive. Amazing, thoughtful lyrics - 10/10
9. Eyes On fire - At first this song seems pretty random and unusual but once i got into it and started listening to the lyrics i saw how stunning the song was. Interesting and haunting, it had me thinking about it all day. - 10/10
10. Never Think - Quite a long intro but the beautiful guitar makes up for it. Rob's bluesy voice is lovely even though you can't understand what he is saying sometimes it's still a gorgeous track. 10/10
11. Flightless Bird, American Mouth - Another nice acoustic track. I don't really see how it fits in with Twilight but it's still a great song with a pretty chorus and deep lyrics. - 9/10
12. Bella's Lullaby - Beautiful piece. It's a good score but sometimes gets too dramatic considering it's meant to be a simple lullaby but nice, relaxing way to end the album - 9/10
13. Decode Acoustic (Bonus Track) - Absolutely stunning. As good as the original just more relaxing. I Love the way hayley changes the way she sings some of the song. - 10/10
14. Let Me Sign (Bonus Track) - Quite similar to Never Think. It's a short track and i wish it were longer but he sings the song beautifully and with emotion. - 10/10

Gotta really appreciate this album for some really deep, gutsy and light upbeat tracks. I don't usually listen to the same albums over again, but, I even had to buy an mp3 player to download this one off the CD I bought, along with 'Twilight, The Score' CD. The film even made me start looking for the tracks that aren't on the album; '15 Steps', by Radiohead, for one. Paramore maybe a little 'Evanescence' style, but they do it in their own way, what a voice that lead singer's got! Really powerful...and the variety of tracks and styles of singing and playing prevent me from getting bored with it. I would love to be able to waltz with my husband to Iron and Wine's, 'Flightless Bird', and I've even tried learning some of the guitar and piano pieces within the songs. Wasn't sure about Robert Pattinson's contributions to begin with, at first I thought it was just to add to the hype, but they are really difficult songs to put across and he does do it excellently; 'Never Think' grows on you...and it made me look for a download of his renedition of the short and very haunting, 'Let Me Sign', which reminds me of a Native American Indian type of chant at its' beginning. 'Linkin Park's, 'Leave Out All The Rest', is typically brilliant; 'Bella's Lullabye', composed by Alan Desplate, is very helpful in
de-stressing you, (according to the conductor/composer, Robert Pattinson IS actually playing that piano for Kristen Stewart/Bella in the film.) I've caught myself humming and singing some of the tracks whilst washing the pots! Takes a lot for any music to make me do that. I cannot say that there is any track I do not like on this album. Yes, this is one album I am listening to over and over and over again. It has surprised and pleased me a lot more than I thought it would. Congratulations to everyone who put it together, it is a classic.
