I am a huge fan of twilight and have the entire companion guides but this is much better!

It has so much detail on how the film was shot! It goes into detail on how takes were shot such as the van shot where Edward saves Bella. It also shows sketches of how outfits were drafted and then chosen as with the locations. It has so much detail and sketches as well as lovely pictures.

It is the directors notebook, she comes across as very down to earth and puts alot of detail in this notebook!
If your a fan of twilight its a perfect companion to have.

Its brilliant!

This is an awesome book for anyone who loved the film and wants to know more about the making of it.
The amount of detail in it is good (there could be so much more though) the photos are mostly awesome- some not seen before and the drawings for the story boards are beautiful.
A good price for the amount of information you get to consume.

Catherine Hardwike the director from Twilight has made this stunning book. the pictures and drawings are amazing. especially as they are drawn by Catherine's sister or herself. she captures the world of Twilight from the book by Stephanie Meyer very well down to the last detail even if she digitalised some scenes for effect. for example the glowing of Edward's face in the meadow done by ILM.

the book describes shooting some scenes from the move. the costumes and ideas. and that some members of the cast had to wear contacts and dye thier hair to create Meyer's world. it will be sad that Catherine has decided not to carry on directing the other movies in the saga.but this is a must for all twlilight fans.

This book is perfect for:
a) an immense Twilight fan
b) a movie fan
c) a budding director
This book is amazing. Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the movie interpretation of Stephenie Meyer's famous 'Twilight' novel, has written this director's notebook brilliantly. Her natural humour shines through in this witty, enlightening, interesting and very informative book (that is also great for anyone interested in the general movie process). The pictures that fill the pages of this scrapbook/notebook style novel are of stunning quality, many of which are backstage shots that capture the unseen fetaures of movie making. This book covers the intricate stages of costume designing, to how many shots it took to fit the Twilight novel's iconic, apple front cover into a scene of the film. A one hundred percent reccommended buy that is great for either reading in a few days or dipping in and out of to find out facts and snippets of info that will impress the Twilight Saga Club! FOR THOSE BARGAIN HUNTERS: I bought this book from another company through Amazon. They are what's called 'fulfilled by Amazon'. Basically, they send all their products to the Amazon warehouses, and then get Amazon to handle the delivery and returns. Their products are entitled to super-saver delivery (free!), yet are sold at the company's price. This meant I was able to get this book a bit more cheaply than the Amazon rate, but with all the benefits of super-saver delivery and trustworthy Amazon. Go near the Amazon price chart by the product, and click 'buy new from £...' - go from there! It wis of flawless quality, and perfectly new. Enjoy! (Please read this review - it's the THIRD time I have written it full length, because for various reasons it got deleted! But the book was so good, I just couldn't let you guys remain in the dark about this fantastic product!)

This is a strangely tactile book. Modest in size but full of detail. A lot of the stuff in it will be familiar to Twilight fans with no big surprises. However, it really does have the feel of a sketchbook with some really lovely drawings of action ideas and costumes. Am in two minds over the book's small size as the small scale did not do justice to the drawing and photos but made it physically feel like a notebook. Having photos, menus etc of the real Forks was a very nice touch. Not much we didn't know already but an extremely personal little book full of Hardwick's passion and energy which made a lovely thing to read and look through many times over.
