Product Description

As the Games get ever nearer the Algerian Olympic team threaten to boycott the Games after discovering that the Shared Belief Centre does not face Mecca.

Ian and his team have just hours to find a solution that will keep everyone happy. Head of Infrastructure Graham ends up accompanying Ian to a crucial three-way teleconference with Sebastian Coe, the British Foreign Office and the Algerian representative, Dr Benhamadi.

No chance then, that events will end up veering badly off track.

4.0 out of 5 stars Truth 10 April 2013
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
As a London cabby it had a bit of added interest ... although the writers tried to make the traffic aspect funny they never stood a chance against the real traffic team.

5.0 out of 5 stars So, so funny.... 15 Jan 2013
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
Bought this for my son (and me) who loved this series. We've watched it a few times and have found something different to laugh about each time that we hadn't noticed on previous viewings. Written so well and the acting is absolutely brilliant.
Product in excellent condition - as new. Was a bit more expensive than I would've preferred but, then again, has given us hours of pleasure :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Really sharply observed comedy 8 Jan 2013
By Janina
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
The people and situations this series (along with the first series) so deftly portrays will strike a note with many who find themselves 'delivering' something! It replaces my sets 1 & 2 of 'The Office', which have now gone to Oxfam. I think it's much, much cleverer and more contemporary - and made me wince just as much! I'm also glad I watched it AFTER the London Olympics were safely 'delivered'!

The language used by some of the characters is particularly cringey! Jessica Hynes, who plays Siobhan Sharpe the 'Head of Brand' deserves a special mention. But all the characters are brilliantly played and completely convincing... unfortunately!

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterclass. 13 Nov 2012
Format:DVD
Gentle but biting humour. And so many laughs in what was left unsaid or just hinted at.
Brilliant performances from everyone.
So uplifting. Assumes the viewer is a higher primate.
And I take some pleasing! I'm from Yorkshire!

5.0 out of 5 stars Twenty Twelve - a must see! 25 Sep 2012
Format:DVD
Brilliant humour - ridiculous situations but so near the truth. Didn't find the original TV viewing until series 2 so great to catch up with the DVDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great souvenier 23 Sep 2012
By Karen
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I loved the first series, and the second is just as good. It, spookily, continues to predict the real-life problems of putting on The Greatest Show On Earth, so could make an excellent alternative souvenier to the Olympics.
