5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! 19 Dec 2000
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
There's no need for me to say much about this album except superb. I first heard Dark Star on Later with Jools Holland and immediately fell in love with the sound and energy. I went straight out and bought the album and couldn't stop listening to it. The best song is 'About 3am' (the third track), it's Placebo meets Pink Floyd but with more energy. If you buy one album this year, make it this one. Oh, and if you think the album was good make sure you go to see them live.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Hidden Gem 30 July 2000
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Apon hearing this record for the very first time, something rare happend, I fell in love with every second of the 45 minuites of genous distortion. From the first innocent ramblings of "ninty-six days" you are led on a mistery jurney by Bic Hayes' FX layden guitar, David Francolini's manic drumming and keeping this together is the steady, thumping bass of Laurence O'Keef. Some people will get the bizare noise of Dark star but unfortionatly the media do not. This is a great shame as this wonderful album will remain hidden from the rest of the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never gets old! 5 Jun 2010
Format:Audio CD
I bought this album soon after seeing Dark Star support Muse at a smallish venue in London many years ago. Muse were brilliant but Dark Star were so exciting the audience went crazy for them! The drummer was so entertaining and took the art of drumming to a whole new level. It was such a shame they didn't continue as they held such promise but they gave us this album which is timeless and never gets old! ***** Highly recommended *****
