3.0 out of 5 stars Satisfactory, 3 Jan 2006
This review is from: Twenty Something: (Piano/vocal/guitar) (Paperback)
This book is good. Although it is a great shame that it has been arranged, I feel that it has not been done in a good way. Aranged in a simplistic manner - bass in left hand and vocals in right, largely. The music essentially sounds the same, but is missing the essential hamonies. This book provides an introduction into new styles of jazz piano. I think where it is missing harmonies it is good to try to improvise in order to understand the music better. Jamie Cullum is a great musician, he has the guts and skill to rearange timeless jazz pieces and get away with it; in style. I do not think that this is reflected in this book. This is a great book for beginners, but not for the more accomplished; although it is still enjoyable.

Pretty good. No problems. Does the job.
I've not played in a while, and this is a challenge for me, but not so difficult i'm put off.
But for now especially is a great song to get back into the swing of playing.
Well worth it, no problems. ESPECIALLY if you're a fan of the album.
