While the 10th anniversary of the plane crash had been marked by the 'tribute concert' cd,the band chose to mark the 20th with a new album, the superb 'Twenty'.
with a line up revamped to include Hughie Thomasson(The Outlaws) & Ricky Medlocke(Blackfoot) on guitars, the fresh blood brought a new impetus to the band, which was apparent immediately you hear the new tracks swagger out of the speakers.
Easily the best studio album since 77's Street Survivors release,12 excellent tracks with no filler. Highlights a plenty from the slow burnin southern stomp of 'We Aint No Different',the swamp music of 'Voodoo Lake',the classic honky tonk of 'Talked Myself Right Into It',special mention of the classic 'Travelin' Man' with Ronnie's vocals lifted from the live tapes from One More From The Road.
This disc is a sure fire winner, the new line up brushed away the cobwebs and the band burned on record as they had done in the past.excellent stuff
