5.0 out of 5 stars My Virtual Reality Trip to the Louvre, Paris Part 6 of 13 18 July 2014
By Don Kidwell - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Temporary Exhibits : From Kahlo of Mexican fame to halfway across the globe to Japanese artist Hokusai all in just a comparatively few short steps within the confines of the Louvre. I was swept away by "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" and "Ocean Waves". Unfortunately all I heard until the next section from my daughter, Mary was "When can we go to the pool?" You'll have to be quiet, I whispered, as we all headed off to see Rembrandt. And if you care to start at the very beginning please head back to da Vinci if you like.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ahah! Now I see... 17 April 2014
By Folina Dubernol - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Edit: Okay so after a month, I found out to HOLD the photo, and it will expand. I stand corrected. Whew! Rating amended.

I snagged all of these in the series today, but guess what? I'd thought the paintings would render beautifully on my 8.9" Fire. Yeah, no. There's about 8 words of text for each painting, which are literally about 1.5 inches square, and a bunch of blank page.

I wanted to use these as a teaching aid, but the images are far too tiny. So sad; neat books.

5.0 out of 5 stars STUNNING 21 April 2014
By Cel - Published on Amazon.com

I downloaded this for myself and I was absolutely "gobsmacked" (if that is just an Australian term it means speechless). The pictures were gorgeous and some I didn't realise were painted by Hokusai. So it was enjoyable and educational for me. I hope that this book will be downloaded by adults for themselves too as it is wonderful.
3.0 out of 5 stars Could have a bit more interesting description 26 Jun 2014

Yes, I know, it's for children. But even children can expect to be told more about a foreign culture. So this is not bad, nice pictures, but somehow I expected more of this book.
2.0 out of 5 stars Can't "See" the pictures for the rest of the Page! 29 Aug 2014

Too small to see on a Kindle so it's a waste of time and space, even if they are "free".
