This book shows that whatever religion you might be, or from whatever country you come from it's whats in the heart that counts. This book address a couple that love each other but a conflinct between the two of their families leaves them a choose but to have a relationship out of ears and mouths from their towns and homes. This book takes back the tale of young Romeo and Juliette the legendary couple of the 17th Century.

I have only just finshed this book I found it in my classroom library.I picked it up and read the back. Then I sat down and opened the first page and saw the words King Billy. The day before we had done all about King Billy and James 11 in history.I found the book very interesting. I hope whoever reads it will see all the trouble there is in Northern Ireland.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book to grace your shelf, 25 Sep 2000

This review is from: The Twelfth Day of July (Puffin Modern Classics) (Paperback)
Whether you understand the politics or not, The Twelfth Day Of July is a story you won't be able to stop reading. Sadie is Protestant. Kevin is Catholic. That kind of says everything. Both feel very strongly about their religions, and are opposed to the other but can they overcome this and become friends? Sorry to write such a short review, it doesn't do enough justice but just to prove how much I love this book, I wrote a 4 page book review on it for school without complaining! In other words, The Twelfth Day Of July is fantastic so don't miss it.
