Harmony Records was founded in 1925 as a subsidiary of Columbia Records and was revived in 1957. This new Harmony label was used solely to release 33rpm long-playing records and like many other budget labels, it was 'cheap and cheerful'. Harmony however, had the advantage of the entire Columbia back catalogue to draw upon for their compilations. With such an eclectic mix as this, there are riches to be found on every track of our compilation, from Gene Krupa's jazzy title track to the Carter Family's traditional closer - a veritable cornucopia of delights.
2CD set. Snazzy 50-track collection of Harmony label recordings from 1957 to 1962! Features Gene Krupa, Rosemary Clooney, Carl Perkins, Billie Holiday, Liberace, Benny Goodman, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and others.
