I really like this guide. It's got the mix of tourist information, directions, historical background and great photography just about spot on. The accommodation and activities sections are a bit thin, hence the four stars rather than five, but with the internet available for all that, who really needs pages of these things?

This book was pUrchased because of my love for Tuscany...It provides excellent arm-chair travel for me...It is very readible and holds my interset and I would say others would enjoy it. It is a guide for actual travel but also a book that can be reAD WITH PLEASURE.

Good guide covering the most important items in Tuscany in a to the point fashion. The map with scenic routes indicated are a plus.
The aim of the guide (in my opinion) is for travelling through tuscany.
