Manufacturer's Description

The Ear Force PX21 integrates premium stereo game sound with crystal-clear communication on the PlayStation Network (PSN), Xbox Live and PC/Mac to create the definitive audio environment for playing popular game titles on all platforms.

The PX21 is two headsets in one—a stereo USB headset for chat sound and an amplified stereo headset for game sound. The PX21 gives you a significant advantage because you can hear sound cues others can’t, so you’ll react faster and take them out before they take you out. Unique gaming features such as variable bass boost, chat boost, stereo expander and convenient volume controls for chat and game audio, provide a competitive edge that can make the difference between winning and losing.

If you’re serious about your PS3, Xbox 360 or PC gaming, then get serious about the sound. Move up to the Ear Force PX21 and become a better player while experiencing your games as they were meant to be heard.

When used as a PC gaming headset, the PX21 functions as two independent headsets in one package:

Amplified Stereo Headphones:
The green 3.5mm plug is used for sending the stereo game signal from the PC sound card to the PX21 headphone amplifier so you can hear game sounds, music and other sounds from your PC. The overall volume level is set by the Game volume control on the PX21 amplifier.

USB Stereo Headset:
The USB connection is used for mic and chat signals and appears as “Turtle Beach USB Headset” in Windows operating systems. This lets you assign the PX21 mic and chat in your game software as a USB audio device. You can set the microphone and chat levels independently with the Windows mixer software, as described elow. After configuring these volume settings, you can set the chat level with the Chat volume control on the PX21 amplifier. Note that each time you disconnect the PX21 from the USB port, the volume settings described below may revert back to their default settings. As such, you might have to go back and set them again each time you remove and insert the PX21 USB connector.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good Headset and Mike 5 Jan 2010
By RBZ
Very clear set of headphones, extremely comfortable to wear, mike is easily adjusted and friends report the sound is good at the other end. Only slight negative is the amount of wires trailing all over the place but worth it considering what you get in return

5.0 out of 5 stars This is just great 3 Dec 2009

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This headset is brilliant espcially if you like a late night game or two and dont want to wake the rest of the house but still want to hear whats going on around espicially for online multiplayer games such as 'socom cod' The sound quality is amazing saved my life a few times now on socom when i now hear people creeping up behind me.

They chat because it is through USB is crystal clear compared to bluetooth what a diffrence.

The cables are very long you connect it up using the playstation cable that comes with the ps3 I have my sound goto my TV through HDMI and sound goto the headset via the red and white cables from the original ps cable which also has a pass through so I can still connect to hifi at the same time so dont neeed to play about with wires.

You just set your ps3 to have multi sound output so it can also goto your tv at the same time so you dont need to change settings all the time.

Iv found since I bought this headset I use it even when i dont need to be quiet as it gives you such an advantage this may be diffrent if you have surround sound set up in your house I dont.

Would reccomend for any gamer that wants a headset with built in chat.

Has volume slider so you can easily change the volume of game and chat seperatley and also has a switch to mute your own mic.

Sits very comfortably.

4.0 out of 5 stars PX21's definately the unfair advantage to gaming 24 Nov 2010
By Aaron
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This gaming headset by turtlebeach is definately the unfair advantage and will decide who wins and loses in games offline and also splitscreen. From the sound of a person changing a magazine in their gun to the sound of airstrikes coming in your way by Harriers, this headset defines this in a clear and beautiful sound. Turtlebeaches past products that have mostly been compatible with xbox 360's only have been execellent, but now with the px21's they work for ps3 which really did encourage me to take a sneak peek, they look stylish and future proof for only £60 what a bargain. Unlike other gaming headsets like trittons and astros this headsets price makes it definately worth the buy, but the only thing about this headset which gives it only a slight but not major downfall is the hissing sound you get when there is no sound like gun shots and grenades going off because i mainly play call of duty. But don't worry this soon gets overtaken by the immense and crystal clear sound this headset gives out. If you are a serious gamer or a person who justs like to have fun on their ps3, and likes to feel like their in a middle of a battle or maybe in the drivers seat of a ferrari enzo and have (...) laying around, this would definately be worth the buy for you. Not to forget Amazon delivered within the days they said they were going to deliver in, thanks amazon.

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
i bought my px21's less than 4 months ago & already they have stopped working, i was concerned that they felt poorly made compaired to my trittons & it would appear i was right. I would not recommend buying them if im honest.

2.0 out of 5 stars Turtle beach headsets.... 27 Sep 2011
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
The wire that links the headset to the volume adjuster is really weak and now i cant hear through one side of the headset unless i move the wire to a specific position. Plus one of the headset actually came off...honestly i was pretty gutted. It lasted me approximately 4 months before it broke. Looking at the other reviews mine lasted a lot longer than most..

5.0 out of 5 stars Best headset I've ever used 14 Dec 2013
By Ben
I bought this headset off the ASDA direct website (because it is £29 at ASDA so I'd advise you to get it there) and thoroughly enjoy the headset. The sound quality through the headphones is excellent and the bass can also be boosted via the control box.

The quality of the mic is also very good, as my voice comes through crystal clear with no background noise. I have used this for my PS3 and PC and both work fine. With PS3 I would recommend turning the mic level down to about 3 as the mic can be very loud on the other end. On the PC I would also recommend turning the level down within the control panel.

Before I had this headset I had the ORB GP1 Gaming Headset, which I would recommend staying away from. This is because it is uncomfortable and has bad mic quality and speaker quality.

Overall, this headset is very good but is also very similar to the Turtle Beach P11 (my friend has these). Buy these from ASDA and not Amazon because they are cheaper at ASDA. Also, I have heard that if you drop the headphone on the floor or knock them off your desk they will break, so keep in mind that they may not be all that robust.
