Received the Tursion power pack recently. No problem finding appropriate tip for my Samsung 17inch Laptop. I was surprised that the battery pack came ready charged at 100%, so I proceeded to change my laptop. However, it was clearly not charged to 100% as it went down to 0% within about 40 minutes & the laptop was charged to about 40%.
I then charged the power pack from 'empty' & was surprised to find that it was fully charged in 3.5 hours, as the instructions say that it will take around 8 hours to fully charge it. I can only assume that I have a particularly powerful laptop mains charger, which charged the power pack faster than anticipated.
I then re-charged my laptop and was slightly disappointed to find that it only fully charged the laptop once, with only a small amount of charge remaining in the power pack.
I was under the impression from other reviews that I would have achieved several hours of charging power for my laptop, when in reality I can only achieve approximately 2 hours of power.
I can only conclude that I have either got a very 'power hungry' 17inch laptop, which consumes more power than the average, or I haven't been provided with a particularly efficient power pack, which doesn't deliver the designed amount of power.
However, an extra 2 hours of power is better than nothing, and provides a total of 4 hours if you srart off with a fully charged laptop.

This is a lovely little battery. I can charge it from my solar panel ,wind up chargers and from the mains. It was 50% full when it arrived and I charged it to 63 % with my wind up chargers via a 12volt adapter and then plugged in to the mains where it finished filling up.
This morning I charged my laptop battery while the laptop was turned off and it used 25% of the whole charge to give me 2 hours worth.
I can see this being a very handy item.
It has a good collection of connectors.
You need one of the input connectors for joining your own laptop charger to it and one of them for outputting using the supplied cable.
My laptop is a samsung and there is a suitable tip for input and one for output.
It is quite happy charging from a laptop car charger so handy for when you are camping or whatever.

I got the M9000 on Saturday (28/09) morning, very fast delivery ay Amazon, it read 100% when so started to play around with it.

The instruction manual needs a little bit of thinking outside the box, I found best to see which tips / adaptors fitted best rather than the manuals list.

You charge the power pack using your laptops mains charger, simply plug the correct fitting tip to your charger, plug in and away you go.

My mains Dell Inspiron Duo charger works perfect but my IBM T43 / X30 doesn't seem to charge the unit at all but both laptops have been charged from the power pack, as well as fones and Nintendo DS.

As I said, it came with 100% charge reading, so took it to work to try with my IBM X30 laptop, charged up the battery but only lasted about 3 hours before running outta juice.

I then tried charging the unit up from a 12V cigarette lighter, works perfect, took about 8 hours to charge.
Got home and thought I'd give it a good test, as now it has had a full flat to full charge err charge.

I plugged it into my Dell Inspiron Duo, battery normally lasts 2.5 to 3 hours.
Put on a load of films on VLC player and jus left it for the night, well day, work nites.

The battery was 83% charged, I plugged it in at 7:00 am, it completed the charge and it ran out of juice just before 3pm, still playing films.

So for the sake of an argument, 8 hours extended battery life was no problem.

Gonna make those long trips much easier not having to worry about running outta battery or finding a plug.

Gotta say, so far, after 1 day, very impressed.

Works with the IBM X30, T43 and 240X chargers [all the same]

Charges 12v & 24v, so can charge in truck or car, faster on mains charge.

Again, still impressed with this unit

Yours, Again,

I bought this because I am going camping
for a few days and I wanted to be able to recharge
my iphone. I tried it the once by letting my iphone
go dead and charging it.
The power supply was at 100% and only
dropped to 93% to fully charge my iphone.
Only thing I would fault is the size of portable
supply. A little larger than imagined but
still worth it. Would definitely recommend it.

Good backup battery for a laptop 30 Aug 2012
By ron - Published on Amazon.com

I bought this with some reservations. I wasn't sure if the tips would fit my asus n82jv. I took a chance and bought it since it still had a usb connection I could use for my samsung phone. The usb works for any usb powered device, so that's a plus. I was happy to see that one of the tips fit my laptop and my ac adapter will re-charge the external battery device. I must say that my regular laptop battery will power my laptop for about 4 and a half hours or about 1 and half if I am gaming. I have a 6 cell 48wh 10.8v 4400mah battery and mt ac adapter is 90watt 19v. The external battery says it's 125wh 15-20v 33600mah. I know that some of the specs are confusing to some, so hopefully this will give people some idea of how well it works. I charged it up completely and plugged it in without the regular laptop battery in the laptop. It showed that the battery was missing and the ac adapter was plugged in. No biggie there, it just doesn't tell you how much time you have left on your battery. I went through a typical day of computer use. I surfed the web and watched some youtube for about an hour and a half. Then I watched a 2 hour movie, played burnout paradise city for an hour, watched some hulu for about a hour. That's 5 and half hours already, which is way better than my battery would have lasted. Of course I should expect this since the external battery is rated about 3 times better than my normal battery. I let my computer just sit for about 2 hours, since 5 hours is way longer than I usually sit in front of my computer. I came back, and it was still on, checked my email, watched some us open tennis and surfed the web. All in all I had about 8 hours of continuous use and about 3 hours of idle time before it ran out of juice. Realistically it lasted about 3 times what my regular battery could do. So the main thing you sould look at is the 125wh rating. Mine on my regular battery is 48wh so 3 times as much is 144wh, which is fairly close to the external battery rating. I know some people look at the 33600mah and think it should last 8 times as long, but that is dependant on the tasks you are performing. Videos and gaming take a lot more power. I am very happy with the exeternal battery and I would recommend this to anyone who needs some extra power on the go.

One other thing, the compatibility of the tips are pretty good. I know it fits my asus n82jv and u30j, which has the same ac adapter as a lot of other asus models. Plus there are 15 volt,16v, 3 18.5-19v, 5 19v, 2 19-19.5v, 2 20v. They are all various sizes and has the the most common 2.5mm inside and 5.5mm outside, and 2mm inside 5mm outside tips. the tips range from tiny to super fat, I didn't measure them, but I know one of the tips will fit most major brands. So, unless you have some off brand weird size plug, then one of the tips should fit. And if the tip fits your laptop then there is a tip to fit your ac adapter to recharge the external battery.

Worth the money--- 18 Sep 2012

This product is well worth the money and lasts several hours and can do multiple devices at one time... So if you have an I-Phone or Jet Pack for WIFI and a laptop you will have no issue keeping them all running for several hours! They give you quite a bit of adapters to cover just about everything out there and it has a built in USB port as well! Really cool, well worth the price....Rick

Works well with my Lenovo Twist 17 Feb 2013
By Paul C - Published on Amazon.com

I use a Lenovo Twist as a second/travel computer to supplement a laptop work station. The one i have has a mechanical hard drive and I5 processor, so battery life is limited to 3-4 hours, not really enough for many overseas flights which often take over 24 hours total, some legs are more than 14 hours, and it can be hard to find charging stations in many airports.
This battery pack is perfect for extending work time and entertainment (mostly as a kindle reader). It has good life, I can run the Twist for over two days of heavy intermittent use. Works great working out of a vehicle as well.

It is relatively compact (about the size of a short paperback novel) and light (1.75 lbs). It came with 23 different adapter plugs (these are all round laptop types) including the standard 20 volt D8 and M14 plugs needed for the Lenovo Thinkpad series. There is also a standard USB port for your phone, camera, etc..

It uses your laptop charger to recharge, so you don't have to carry a separate power supply. Simple, practical, handy size, and good price. I am very happy with this unit.

Seems to work great 22 May 2012

I've had this for 2 days now and it seems to work great. I have a power hungry 17" dual hard drive laptop and it's been keeping it running for going on 4 hours now and it still has 2 out of 5 bars left on the battery meter. My internal laptop battery is still at 100% power, once this external battery runs out the laptop will switch to the internal battery. This should give me around 6 hours of total battery time which is a lot for a high power laptop.

cable length, charger, and tips 9 Jan 2013
By Someone Who Cares About Product Quality - Published on Amazon.com
I just got this product and it is great so far. The bottom left is an LCD screen that tells you how many volts it is delivering (e.g. 15 or 19 or whatever). It auto-senses to do that task so there are no switches to set. That is really nice. And, if you press the little button next to it, up to 6 lights will illuminate to show you the charge remaining in its battery. Good stuff.

Cable Length) Here was my problem. There is a cable that connects between the battery and the tip of your choice. The cable is only 4 feet. I wanted a batter that could sit on the ground beneath my laptop computer, which is on a stand. I needed 5 feet. I thought I'd buy another cable but, as best as I can determine from googling, this cable seems to have proprietary ends. I found the manufacturer in China (Apokin.com) but I can't find an email address for them. Hope 4 feet is good enough for you.

Charger) People wonder how to charge THIS battery (not your laptop, etc.). There is another collection of tips that go between your laptop's charger and this battery. This product does not come with a charger. You use your product's existing charger. I'd rather it have its own charger than me worrying about another set of tips, but it is ok.

Tips) It did have the tip for my Asus laptop. And another product. So that was good. Now, I saw another charger company let you contact them for more tips if yours wasn't in the box. This company's one page instruction sheet has no contact info, and not even their name (Apokin). Don't count on any other tips. I still like this product because of the LCD screen and battery-life-remaining button, but you'll take your chances on whether your tip is there. It probably will be there but no guarantee.

Instructions) Typical "made in China" translated instruction sheet that reads poorly. But, if you understand what I wrote above about not having a charger, I don't think you need instructions.
