First, when using it to archive 7 inch 45 rpm discs, it would switch off before the end of the track, but I found an adjusting screw inside under the arm, and sorted that out. Then the monitoring sound is very bad and tinny. So was the mp3 sound on play back of recorded tracks. I can only assume that the fault is either in the pick-up cartridge or the internal pre-amp. As it was a gift I could not return it, so it has been given earlyretirement and replaced with a good old turntable and a Citronic USB pre-amp.
Spend more and get a better quality device.

Bought this as a present for a friend who loves his music and owns many LPs and wanted them on CD and IPod.
