5.0 out of 5 stars A very good and detailed guide 7 Mar 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have recently discovered Marion Webb-De Sisto and suspect she may become one of my favourite writters, as this is the second book of hers I have bought in a very short period of time.

I am very new to Bach flower remedies and originally became interested in them due to the part they can play in helping with animal behavioural problems and emotional healing. Upon reading more I became very interested in their uses for people and have since gone on to buy myself a set of remedies and intend to undertake a practitioner course in May.

This book has been a brilliant guide, it very clearly advises what each individual remedy is for, the type of person it would be best used for and splits the remedies into their corresponding groups. It has all the information you could need and more. Marion even tells you how to make the remedies yourself from scratch! And how to combine them with gem elixers, which I thought was very interesting.

All, in all a very good book both for beginers and advanced students and one which I would definetly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Little Reference Guide 16 Aug 2009
By M. Dimino - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This clearly written and easy-to-use little reference guide by one of my favorite authors is one that you will turn to again and again. If you seek an alternative natural and holistic approach to healing, then this book is for you. The Bach Flower Remedies have been around since the 1930's and have been used successfully by countless individuals, human and animal, to achieve emotional balance and inner peace safely and without side effects. The Remedies can be used with conventional drugs and are a complement to traditional medicine. Dr. Edward Bach, who was a practioner of traditional medicine, believed that physical diseases are the manifestations of a negative emotional state of mind and that by treating the root of the problem at the emotional level, the body will heal itself. This makes perfect sense to me! The book thoroughly describes each of the 38 Flower Remedies to help you choose the right ones for you. If you need help choosing your Remedies, you can always consult with a Bach Foundation Registered Practioner. This book also contains chapters on how to mix your own personalized treatment bottle and also how to create the Remedies yourself. There are also two fun exercises at the end of the book to help test your knowledge and understanding of which Remedy to use in certain situations.
