This is a super concept, guaranteed to have instant appeal to young children. The book contains a hand puppet as an integral part and the puppet can tell the story as you move page by page through the book. Unlike her noisy big brother, Boris, Doris is very shy and quiet - will she ever be able to sing her song for everyone to hear? Find out how she finally learns to 'Turn it up' when Boris is in trouble. This is a great book for encouraging discussion - what does Doris need in her school bag? Great fun for bedtime reading. Look out for the others in the series.

This book was ok, I found the story weaker than some of the other puppet books in this range. The whole idea of the puppet book is fantastic and kids love the interaction - the author has got some great books in this range but I didn't feel this was one of the better ones.

Very fun book to read to your children. They can pet the furry face whilst mummy or daddy tells the story.

The story doesn't capture the imagination very well, but using the puppet and adding your own stupidity ensures plenty of chuckles for your child.

My 3 year old loves puppet books and enjoys stroking Doris and brushing her hair and shouting 'Turn it up Doris!'

Lovely concept, but ordered as a gift and it arrived with the puppet already torn, the spine damaged and looking second-hand (though purchased new). Very disappointing for its young recipient who was initially very excited.
