I used this guide to find my way around Turin for 3 weeks. I had an excellent time visiting its suggested wine bars, sights, sounds and museums. The guide writers had a cosmopolitan taste and certainly explored many aspects of the city - and it's really up-to-date. I would definitely recommend this guide to anyone visiting Turin (Torino). The only improvement I could suggest would be that the city map in the back could use some numbered points of interest to help you find key landmarks, but most hotels can provide you with a free Turin map with numbered landmarks so it's not a problem.

very good coverage of the city and its history, plus its modern amenities, all in a portable form, as usual with this series.

Essential Turin handbook 11 Nov. 2006
By MVP - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
My husband and I nearly wore out this book during our two-week trip to Torino for the 2006 Winter Olympics. The writing and photos are hipper and more sophistocated than the typical travel book. And it's all contained in a thin, well-organized package that practically fits in your pocket. It offers concise suggestions for hip clubs, out-of-the-way restaurants and bars and other attractions that made us feel like virtual-locals.
