Having tried various gardening programs i found this is far superior than more expensive products.I,m currently studying an extended level 3 diploma in horticulture and this program has made my life so easy.The plant database is brilliant and so much information has been provided for every plant.i do have a CAD background but a bit of time and patience and you will be producing beautiful gardens in no time like myself.

Very poor product for designing a garden. Is looks like a cheapo adaptation of an indifferent graphics package. It assumes a Xerox printer is available and installs the drivers. It takes some time to work out how create vertical lines rather than be limited to horizontal lines. When installed it might be OK for general design of buildings but IMHO is not much good for designing a garden.

As far as I can tell the version shipped at Amazon is v12 - on their website v15 is out and I dont know why I paid for a version which is 3 behind. I found it very easy to use and was able to replicate my garden easily - I tried Google Sketchup but TurboFloorPlan was far easier and had most of the items that I wanted, decking, trampolines, slides, swings, bbq etc already designed and just had to drag and drop. The placement of some of the childrens play equipment could not be placed onto decking but this is a minor issue. You can also cost your project but giving prices to decking etc and you get a complete breakdown. A very good product but why couldnt it have been the latest version.
