My grandson was really enjoying this toy until unfortunately his smaller brother got hold of the hand held controller and broke off the aerial. So the toy was centre of attraction for only one day. It would have been more beneficial had the manufacturer's used a flexible aerial rather than a telescopic metal one, and it would have been safer too. Despite warnings the toy is not suitable for children under a certain age, and accident like what we experienced with a younger child in a split second not knowing what the controller even was, had just picked it up and bent off the aerial. With a flexible one this would not had made the toy useless. There are no details on the box as to how to get a replacement controller either. So, an expensive toy where you have to monitor where the controller is incase smaller children get hold of it. The accident could have been more dangerous because of the telescopic metal aerial breaking off, but likely the incident was spotted immediately, but consequences could have been different.
The toy itself is amazing and had kept my grandson amused for hours as he made it do different things with all the twists and turns it could achieve. And it challenged a few other members of the family also.
If the manufacturer or UK distibutor is reading this change the aerial on the controller and the toy will be 100% robust. Right now we have a robust car, but a dangerous and vunerable hand held controller. And, maybe someone can tell us how to get a replacement controller?
