Product Description

Product Description

The first black artist to have become as legendary as Elvis or James Dean, Tupac Shakur's reputation rests on a mass of contradictions. He is the gangsta rapper who eulogised the 'thug life'; the erudite young man who hoped for a political and spiritual awakening among his peers; the star who served a prison term for sexually abusing a female fan, the sensitive son of a politicised single mother. A Thug Life tells the definitive story of Tupac's career in a thorough selection of interviews, articles, reviews and essays on rap music's enduring icon. Including a foreword by Kris Ex.

The True 'Pac 14 Nov 2005
By Stretch
Format:Paperback
Tupac is represented for real in this book. There’s a heap of commentators, some ghetto, some white, all giving their perspective. One man’s word ain’t no better than another’s, but it builds up a sense of the real Pac comin at ya – glaring out the cover, fessing up this offences, telling you all about his mama, or just dying in the midst of the whole Death Row/Bad Boy West Coast/East Coast madness. One thing this book makes clear is that Pac is truly resurrected – a prophet may die, but if he’s a true prophet then we’re gonna be living with what his prophecies say forever. A Thug Life give it to ya for real, more than any ghost rap with Sir Elton J.

Keeping It Reel 29 Nov 2005
Format:Paperback
Like Elvis, Pac is one of those artist who dispite no longer being here, his career keeps on going on and on etc....... and this is celebritied in this book , it explores every thing from his movies to his beefs, from his childhood to his death, and his detailed career with Death Row and Suge Knight. This book is extremley well put together in similar mould to Biggies unbelibeable book. So dont be a Sucka, and go and cop this NOW.

Pac lives 15 Nov 2005
Format:Paperback
Ive read all the books on Tupac, but Ive never seen one that had so much in it as Thug Life. It’s got everything on Pac, his early music, his trouble with the cops, his acting, every thing. There’s a load of wicked photos, like with Pac and his Thug Life tattoo in color. Theres even people that think Pac is still alive when other people have seen the photos of him dead. They might be wrong but there still right in a way, cuz Pac still lives.
