I saw this book referred to by the famous authoress Catherine Cookson.
Her heroine regarded this book as her second Bible.
It is truly thought provoking in every spiritual and emotional way.
Although it was written at the end of the first decade of the twentieth century, it is still appropriate today and a very inspiring read.
I have no hesitation in recommending this book .

This classic has real depth and power; eternal truths are presented in an appealing way. The author explains that thinking is a vital, living force and that the individual possesses creative power through the operation of thought processes. For a more detailed explanation, I highly recommend The Creative Process in the Individual by Thomas Troward. Everything exists in the unseen before it becomes visible; the unseen is cause and the seen is effect.

Hope & serenity are conducive to physical health. Faith is much stronger than fear whilst compassion & sympathy ought to be the response to hatred & anger. The soul must approach God directly, not through mediators like persons, doctrines or organizations. Trine observes that the mind is clean upon awakening; it is thus an ideal time for prayer or meditation.

Peace comes from within and faith subdues all negatives. It is good to be aware of the 'everlasting arms' as mentioned in the familiar hymn. All hereditary traits & influences can be overcome by spiritual communion with God. As for prosperity, God provides if one believes & expects this to be so. Do whatever you are given well and if it is not exactly what you want, consider it a stepping stone to better things. A sincere desire and receptive attitude guarantee results. Above all, do not hoard but circulate your material wealth wisely.

True worship requires only God and the human soul. Trine discusses various saying of Jesus, including: "The Father & I are one" and scriptural passages like the tale of the Prodigal Son. In this regard, the interested reader will find valuable insights in Geza Vermes' work The Authentic Gospel of Jesus and The Sermon on the Mount by Emmet Fox.

It is vital to remember always to keep one's mind & heart open to the divine inflow, to be aware of the divine omnipresence and to pray/meditate regularly. The book's central message is that recognizing the indwelling divinity is the key to joy & fulfillment. Those who desire these blessings ought to cultivate the yearning: "Manifest Yourself in me."

The text reveals profound spiritual insight and raises one's consciousness, providing the fundamentals for a fresh and joyful outlook on life. As such, it succeeds in articulating that which is often considered ineffable and unutterable, the illumination of spiritual forces available to everyone. Inspiring thoughts are enhanced by short poems that add to the reading pleasure, e.g.: "...the waters know their own, and draw/the brooks that spring in yonder height/so flows the good with equal law/unto the soul of pure delight."

The book concludes with a meditation titled "I am Resolved", a suggested statement of intent for embarking on a better life of peace, purpose and joy. Trine's are words of wisdom wonderfully written. I also recommend Mind Magic: Techniques for Transforming Your Life by Marta Hiatt and Power through Constructive Thinking by Emmet Fox.
