I believe that most people want to parent well regardless of the situation that they find themselves in. I also am of the opinion that every parent is an expert in their circumstances. My mission is to use my passion for empowering women to raise their babies and my proficiency in enabling them to find their solutions to enjoy being parents and succeed in parenting. With some insight into why babies act the way they do, I believe that every parent can tune in to their baby, find out what they need, meet them and enjoy parenting.”

What an incredible book! I am so so glad to have this book in my life, it's a treasure and a gift. It was so helpful to me as an expectant mother for my first baby after many failed attempts and miscarrages to know that the thoughts I was feeling were not weird and I was not going mad this was actually perfectly healthy. More than that I felt really like I had a companion and old friend through my preganancy and arrival of my baby. It was so useful and theraputic to me to have the journal section in the back, when Id had a particularly tough day to note down my thoughts and feelings and to just reflect and acknowledge what a blessing and joy my baby is despite half a minutes sleep. This is a must, must must have book for all expectant mothers and parents with small children. To be absolutely transparant I am so glad my baby is only 4 months so I can really revel in the delights and enjoy the rest of the book and my journey to it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ruth reading your book was like you were speaking to me personally and has been a true true comfort and what a gift to all mummies x

Lovely book. Received it as a gift whilst pregnant with my first child. The book is written in an informative manner, good tips & lovely quotes throughout the book. I look forward to using the toolkit at the end of the book once the little one arrives.
I know I can trust everything written as it's from someone who has been through it all not only as a parent but also as a health professional working in one of the toughest parts of London.

Thank you for a wonderful book, Ruth.

This is such an insightful book

This book enables you to connect with your unborn child through out your pregnancy, up to when your child can communicate with you...

It is so detailed and with such quality in content, it covers a lot of the questions you want to ask your midwife or doctor. Taking you on a step by step journey of what to expect as a new mum or expectant mum. Also comes with a journal which allows you to document your feelings, experiences and moments you want captured for future references.

My baby was just months old when I came across this book and It's been priceless to be able to refer to specific areas for instant help or answers at anytime of the day; I have found it so impactful.

Most of the baby books out there are written by experts with little or no parental experience.... But this book amazingly is by an expert midwife who is also a mum.

Thank you for sharing your experience to help others; It is definitely helping me.

This is no ordinary book about having a baby! It's a goldmine of practical wisdom and the latest research on conception to toddlerhood, particularly the vital part parents play in developing their baby's brain. Ruth shows clearly how to tune in to your baby, meet their needs and enjoy parenting. She also helps you tune into your own needs so you are better equipped to manage the emotional challenges of parenthood. This is the most comprehensive book I have read on parenting in the early years and I highly recommend it to all parents and practitioners working in perinatal settings.
