Book Description

8 Mar 2008
Wandering the Pittsburgh airport before a business trip, Seph decides to kill time with some preflight shopping - anything to get her mind off Tom Fraser, her irresistible, dimple-chinned coworker turned travel buddy. So when a pair of to-die-for pink stilettos calls her name from a store window, she tries them on, only to be swiftly transported back to the eighteenth century and flung aboard a turbulent ship sailing the Mediterranean! There, Seph is stunned to meet Phillip Drummond, an arrogant British pirate and the spitting image of Tom. Phillip has summoned her back in time to straighten out his complete mess of a life, for he is the burly hero in the romance novel she someday hopes to write and she is responsible for his destiny. But in the midst of turning things right so she can get back to reality, Seph starts to fall for the smolderingly sexy Phillip. And when Tom is thrown into the mix, she doesn't know what, or who, she wants. Seph soon realizes that spotting the perfect pair of shoes may be easy, but finding the perfect man can be a real trip.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing 4 April 2010
Format:Mass Market Paperback
The synopsis made this book sound really good, and it was a great idea for a story. However I was disappointed with the way the author had written it. The first 70-100 pages were drawn out and tedious. I think the author should have made a decision as to whether Philip Drummond was an actual person from history or a fictional character from Sephs' book. It didn't make any sense that he was both. After a boring beginning the book did start to pick up a little but still did not grip me and make me not want to put it down. After all the time I spent on it, it would have been nice to have enjoyed the ending but even that could have been much better in my opionion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoroughly enjoyable 17 Mar 2009
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I spent most of my afternoon reading "Tumbling Through Time" and I have to say that I enjoyed it enormously. It succeeded in sucking me into its world very happily, easily vying for a place as one of the most enjoyable historical romps I've encountered in a while.

Though please, disregard the cheesy cover art, this book deserves so much better.

The plot devices may technically be nothing you haven't seen before --mystical events culminating in our heroine, Seph, getting sucked not just through time but also into her own as-yet-unwritten novel, merrily wreaking havoc through both-- but the whole concoction is extremely well-handled. It's populated with mostly likeable characters, genuinely funny if occasionally absurd interludes and a surprisingly personable first-person narrative that, for once, did not make me want to throttle the lead character.
Overall I considered it well worth my money and my time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Double the Romance and Humor for Seph 31 Jan 2008
By Valentine - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I loved this book. It delivers twice as much entertainment as most romance novels! Think one current and uniquely engaging heroine ("Seph") with two really sexy men, two great locations in two different centuries, a mystery to solve and great shoes, it easily delivers twice as many moments that leave you both sighing or laughing out loud, and a surprise ending that really delivers! It was a page-turner I couldn't put down, cliche as that sounds. Seriously, after I read the book I had to go to Ms. Cready's website (www.cready.com) just to see what's next! Now I can't wait for her next novel "Seducing Mr. Darcy".

1.0 out of 5 stars Huh? 29 July 2008
By Princess Caffeine - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I'm a big fan of the time traveling books. I love Diana Gabaldon's books as well as the Highlander books from Moning so I'm always on the lookout for a new one. I had high hopes for this book because it sounded like it had some humor, some romance, pirates and time travel and how can that go wrong?
The plot is confusing at times and the idea of a writer that falls into her own unwritten story and therefore can't control it is just a bad idea. She supposedly created the characters but yet she hasn't, the main character is a guy from work that she's attracted to and the bad guy is her boss that she hates and the plot revolves around some documents that no one can find because the woman that "wrote" the story doesn't know anything about them. That isn't much of a story, even an unwritten one.
I feel like this book was published in the idea stage instead of waiting until it was completely formed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tumbling Through Time 25 Mar 2008
By Julie R. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I thought this was silly at first but then I began to get into it more and ended up thoroughly enjoying it. There were some real laugh-out-loud moments, and I could share the heroine's confusion. I found the very end confusing, however, and disappointing.
