FIRSTLY I WOULD LIKE TO STATE THAT THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.I USE A PHILIPS BURNER AND BEFORE THAT A LITEON AND I ONLY TALK OF - DISC AND NOT +[I found that + discs have lower Compatibility with drives be it console/dvd/pc]

These are very good discs.I have been using this product for almost 2 years now, with no problems at all.Infact for me they are that good that I have never changed brand because I never needed to.Dont get me wrong I have bought other brands along side tuffdiscs in the past [a cheap deal on datawrite that I couldnt let go for example]but always ended up giving other product away due to unreliability and just using tuffdisc. So now all I will use is tuffdisc.I would of given 5 stars if it wasnt for the bottom part of discs being taken up by there logo making it abit tricky for labeling if theres alot on your dvd

Tuffdisc, I liked the sound of them, but, after buying a 100 cakebox, shall never return to them.
Out of the 100 I had 20 odd failures, that is just not good for a joe public customer like me. Previously I have used Verbatim, which are 100 x the discs that Tuffdisc represent. Also, Imation have proven to be a cheaper more reliable purchase. None of my problems have been down to compatibility, just that TUFFDISCS are not reliable !!!

Having had no problems with DVD-R media from other manufacturers (Verbatim or Phillips usually), I have not yet been able to burn a single successful "Tuff Disc" DVD. I've tried three different writers (Sony and NEC drives attached to a computer, and a standalone Pioneer DVD player for AV use), I've tried writing at 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x speeds, and not one of the first 12 discs have completed successfully. It may be I need to flash the drive firmware for this media, but I have not yet tried that.

Caveat Emptor.
