I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas to use with his new kindle and at first I was really pleased with it. It seemed a very nicely made, very useful item. The good points, are the quality of the faux-leather (we don't buy leather so were looking for a "veggie" alternative). the great selection of colours, the options for different stand heights and the comfort of use. All excellent.
However, I have discovered that item has one potentially quite major flaw. After a month or so of use, the Kindle developed a problem with the top right hand corner of the screen, which became corrupted and so the Kindle was returned to Amazon and a replacement sent. However, the problem with the screen co-incides exactly with where the popper to secure the case shut is located. It takes quite a lot of pressure to close the popper and it could be that this continued pressing to shut the case caused the problem with the screen. Since getting the new Kindle, we have tried to shut the case without exerting much pressure on the Kindle and have found that it's not really possible. It's a real shame that Tuff-Love had decided to put their closer at the top of the kindle with the flip at the bottom rather than the other way round - and also that they used such a difficult popper.
I have an Eco-Nique hemp flip style cover and don't have this problem at all - the case flips from the top of the kindle and secures at the bottom where the keyboard is so no problems regadring damaging the screen. Also the popper on this is a soft magnetic popper which doesn't require much pressure to close.
