I saw rjforster's review, and it did give me some cause for concern as I was particularly keen to have the facility to prop the device at an angle for video viewing, but as the other reviews did not touch on this issue, and all seemed to agree on the quality, I decided to give it a try. Without a doubt, the quality of construction is high, and it would do the job of protecting the device admirably. I certainly wouldn't go with those who complain about it on the basis of price, as I think the price is completely justified when you want to protect your precious device that has cost so much more, and these screens are so easily completely destroyed - the way that my previous player went. I don't care where it's made, the right price for anything has to be what value it is to the buyer, not the cost of production.
However, despite that aspect being so good, as rjforster says, the flap, or whatever, for propping the case up at an angle is completley unsuitable for the task. You have two choices as to how it's used (and no clue in the "instructions" as to which one is right), depending on which way round you place it. Both rely on having the earphone cable winding peg in place to hold the flap out, as otherwise it just keeps collapsing. In one orientation, which would not appear to be that intended as the flap is not fully extended when it is in position, the angle at which the device inclines is far too shallow to be of use in most situations. In the other, as his review says, the cover of the case simply flops down over the display, completely preventing viewing. Utterly useless!
Also, as he says, the earphone cable winding peg is only suitable for cheap earphones with thin wiring, completely unsuitable for any of quality, as you might expect to use with a high quality player.
As to the aperture for a non-existent camera, although I really don't care about a redundant feature in itself, you really begin to wonder just how much thought they've really put into designing this case - in fact you can't help but assume that they have never actually tried it with a device - maybe all they've done is got the design specs - although even then, was it some early version when Cowon were contemplating an option for a camera?
I've returned mine, and unless you have no interest in either standing your device up for viewing, or in storing the cable of your earphones, I strongly suggest you don't buy this item. If neither is of interest, then it should be ideal for you, as it will clearly provide great protection for the device, and look nice too.
