A handy little clip light that fits away in the pocket on a ruc-sac, and is ideal for lighting list that need to be checked off in dark locations or for illuminating a keyboard on a laptop.

Compact, bright and good value!

the clip looks a bit fragile, but I've been using it for a while now, including removing it for travel and it's not been a problem.
The end bit where the usb clips in to the base is a bit weak, I heard a small crack when removing it, but as long as you're careful to pull it out level/perpendicular then it's fine.
I tend to recharge my batteries in a separate charger, but plugging the unit into the wall also works perfectly well.

The neck, having been repositioned many times, looks like it's going to be good for a long time, there's no sign of it failing.

I really enjoyed using this light and liked that it could fit into my old kindle case or attach to a paper book. Also, being able to charge it from my computer was very convenient . After about 8 months, it broke. The part that fit into the USB port/the light holder pulled out of the base. I had just lent it to a friend and she may have pulled it hard if she didn't know how to remove it from the holder so it may not actually be a design flaw. If i was still using the original kindle (without a built in light), I would have re-ordered a second Tuff-Luv Bright Spark Clip-On LED Reading Light as I thought it was a really useful product.

Useless and extremely poor quality 9 Mar 2013

I used this twice for a total of about 20 minutes. The third time it would not light. The lighting was minimal and pinpointed such a small area that it just made a distracting glare on my kindle screen. The only reason I gave it one star was because I couldn't write this review without it.

Still looking for a good reading light 25 Feb 2013

I hoped this light would be the end of my long search for a good reading light. It is very lightweight, but it doesn't hold a charge for long. And, the light doesn't consistently indicate when it is charged while plugged into the computer USB port. So, the idea is good, but the product just doesn't work well.

Bright and versatile: Ideal for Kindle 27 Dec 2012

[Update 7.May.2013] We love this little light so much, we bought a second one. We learned how to adjust the arm to minimize glare, and we had no trouble recharging the battery with our iPhone wall charger (might be possible with the Kindle charger; we haven't tried). We've also learned that as the battery nears the end of its charge, the light starts shutting off on its own after just a few minutes use, but the charge lasts quite a long time before that happens. We also found that the light can be attached to the front or back cover, so if you like the cover open, that's no problem. As a side note, the light weighs so little, that I can easily see it used with a paperback. And if you read or write notes at a desk or table, the clip enables it to stand on its own.

[Original] We've had the light only a few days, so I can't address how long it will last, but at this writing, it's proving a very useful night reading light for the Kindle. We have the original Kindle covers, so this light can be attached to the top or the side of the cover at almost any position when the cover is folded back. It's small and light and has multiple brightness settings, adjusted by pressing the on/off button. The top setting is quite bright, almost too bright. It may be helpful, however, as the battery discharges. When the battery gets low, we're going to try recharging it with one of the chargers we use for our iPhone (or maybe the iPad). It's one drawback, that it can cause a glare at one spot when directly over the page, is not serious enough to fault it, especially since the angle of the light can be adjusted and it lights the whole page so well. So far, we love the light and, based on its ease of use and initial performance, we highly recommend it.
Tuff-Luv Bright Spark Clip-on LED Reading Light pros and cons 19 Mar 2013

Cons: Light turns off on it's own after about 20 minutes into use. Turns right back on when you push the button but sort of hard to find the button in the dark. The button to turn it on feels cheap and easily breakable and there are no indentations or raised material to help you feel where the button is. I end up pushing in several places every time until it turns on or off. The rest of the light feels cheap and easily breakable so I am very careful with it.

Pros: The light has 3 settings: bright, brighter, and even brighter. I use the first setting it is just great. The neck is bendable and can be positioned to where you want it. It's light enough (in weight) to fit onto a paperback book. The clip is sturdy. Everything works.

This product is exactly what I needed to keep reading after my husband is asleep and the lights in the room need to be off. I would have given 5 star rating if not for the cons listed above. Overall I am pleased with it. I have used it a dozen times now and it still works and is not broken.

I spent a long time picking a light. This one is great because it can be recharged, and clips onto devices and books very easily. It works well for reading, and even as a flashlight. The only downside is that it can overheat if it is left to recharge too long. The manufacturer should either fix this, or add a light that indicates when it is fully charged.
