Superb Harmony laden Pop,

I got this album to check out the superb version of Dennis Wilsons' tune "Slip On Through". Which by the way, I like at least as much as the original. But the 10 originals included are equally as powerful. All packed with beautiful vocal harmonies and melodys. Inventive bass lines, and unusual arrangements. What amazed me most, was reading the liner notes and finding that Snow plays almost all the instruments on the album. A true one man band.Standout tracks for me, "Lonesome Cowboy". It starts how you would expect. A guitar driven country rock track with a really catchy guitar riff. Then it Uturns into a brief heavy rock tune, then the chorus comes which appears to be a sort of reggae track. Bizarre stuff, but brilliant. "Expectations" is equally eccentric. The main body of the track is a brit pop/Elvis Costello type song. But slotted in along the way are some beautiful sections that are almost Brian Wilsonesque. If you ever loved The Beach Boys, The Byrds,The Hollies, CSN or Simon and Garfunkel then you are going to love this record. Get it!
