Read the previous review before I bought these and if you want to be picky, then that is the only downfall. However, my feeling is that I want to get my money's worth from my toothpaste etc and I can put up with a small amount of inconvenience.
I have had the plastic ones before, the one's with the stand. The 'Keys' eventually break, so have replaced them with these. They are very strong and will last a life time.I will be buying more.Even if you do not have the stands and you have the plastic tubes, they still get all the product out. So they uncurl, but think of the money you will be saving. Not to mention the hassle of cutting the tube up to scrape the last of the contents out. I know, a lot of people don't do that, but I think everyone these days should consider the implications on the enviroment as well as their pocket.
We live in very wasteful times, which I hate, so why not save yourself some money, time and more importantly the environment.

It's so inexpensive it is really pointless to criticise. But the product "works" only with metal tubes-plastic ones simply unroll again and as almost all toothpaste tubes are now of this material it limits the use of the product.

There are a number of people here who are speaking as if their long quest for a lasting tube squeezer were at an end. This is not so. The plastic tube squeezers break; I should know I have had at at least three break in as many years. This is a problem many people have had and so the determined among us say to themselves "All right then, I will get a metal one!". This is good thinking, steel isn't going to break, but there is still a problem; this item is very likely to be used in a bathroom and this is a very corrosive environment, and the consequence of using any metal other than stainless steel is rust. If you use merely metal you will have ugly, brown corrosion in your bathroom inside a year. Again, I should know this, I bought a metal tube-squeezer and this is exactly what happened. I have put up a picture for you to see what this looks like so you are in no doubt about the fact that you don't want this in your bathroom.

"Okay", you say, "that's all right! because *this* tube-squeezer is stainless steel. That won't rust!" and you could be forgiven for thinking that, because the listing here does say it is stainless steel... But it isn't stainless steel, it is nickel-plated mild steel and I am telling you guys, that will not last. A year from now, rust will be your portion. So your quest is not over; instead of the product breaking you can now look forward to throwing it away because it looks horrible.

You may be asking "how does he know it isn't stainless?". Well it is disturbingly simple; it says "Nickel Plated Steel" on the back of the packet. I have put up a photo of that too so you can see for yourself. Clearly the supplier knows that he is falsifying, and very soon after this review I am sure he will change the description. But what a waste of everybody's time eh?

Check the pictures and be in no doubt.

Compared to the plastic version of this product, the metal ones are by far the better option and they don`t have a problem with plastic tubes either.

I bought these tube squeezers for use with tubes of oil paint. They are a bit too big for that purpose, could be a little thinner, but then they wouldn't be so sturdy. Will persevere!

Excellent product very surprised that they are not avaliable more easily, good for toothpaste, foods in tubes..
In fact they save money and effort and they are cheap as well, highly recommended.

I hoped that this tube squeezer would be like the key found on the side of corned beef tins, enabling the tube to slide in and be rolled up as you squeeze out the contents. It doesn't work like that - the slit in the metal key is shallow and does not go right through to the other side to hold it, so the edge of the toothpaste tube keeps slipping out. Disappointed with the design.
