Product Description

Product Description

Evil aliens are curently travelling to our Earth. Their mission is not known, only that the Earth and the entire human race has reason to fear for it's future. They've escaped a dying planet. Their home planet had habitable 'sloog 'swamps,so their natural living environment deems they be raised in sloog which contains their food and nutrients, thus protecting them from drying out. The environment in the test tube, recreates that of the sloog swamps and allows them to grow from hatchling to full adulthood. The aliens breath through their antennas, therefore for perfect health they need to be covered, with just the tips of their antennas protruding. If completely immersed in sloog they will start to drown. If they are not given enough sloog, they will dry out and starve. An alien will grow to it's full size wihin 2 weeks, making them the equivalent age of a teenager on their own planet. How long can you keep your alien alive? The global census requires that you register your alien on-line upon it's birth. The registration enables access to pupose built alien interaction digital equipment. Each and every alien holds unique secrets based upon their type, their origin, and their ranking. It's your job to extract and share this information to prevent total global and human annihilation. There are many ways to discover what your alien knows. Some passive methods involve befriending, feeding, and exercising your alien. Other more forceful methods will encourage your alien to disclose information involuntarily, but be careful not to push them too hard, as dead aliens don't talk.

test tube rubbish 8 July 2011

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
As usual with these kinds of toys, I ended up feeding the damn thing, or else my son would probably have got it everywhere! Not interesting to watch grow, really ugly, and couldn't get any response from the website where you supposedly could communicate to it! Just an ugly, rubber toy in a tube, waste of money!!!!

I bought these for my nephews - 5 and 7 years old. They are wild boys, so 'quiet' toys don't usually excite them. However, this was an absolute HIT. The hatching was instant and exciting (in fact I think they were a little anxious) - with frothing and what looked like a real alien. The heart started beating at the appointed moment and the alien started growing immediately. It doesn't look cheap or gimmicky. Over the seven days I was with them the boys anxiously looked after and fed their aliens - which had pretty much grown to full height within 7 days, and it kept their attention. I seriously doubt they will remain interested for too much longer. HOWEVER I had really fed them a whole story about the registering of the birth on the website - which says it scans the alien and tells you how you are looking after it, as well as help you interrogate your alien. You are supposed to be an agent interrogating the alien to find out his story. THe website at first glance looks fantastic, but is COMPLETELY confusing about what to do and how to play the games as well as how to move up the hierarchy of secret agent. My poor 7 year old nephew is still sitting there desperately trying to get to the top level and I have no idea how to help him. He now thinks the alien is going to die. I wrote to the site - with only bounced emails in return and expect that it has closed. SO 10 out of 10 for cool toy, 1/10 for website game. And if anyone can help me with website instructions....I am looking for help on how to use the website! To end the story - the boys desperately want the rest of the family, but have a LOT of questions about how and when this alien dies and what to do with him when he's dead....
