What a debut album from one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Thoughtful yet thoroughly ballsy blues-rock, virtuoso performances, unusual time signatures without being at all wanky or pretentious, and giant riffs to stand alongside their most obvious influence (in my opinion) - Led Zep. The fact that the band lost their singer/guitarist so soon after finishing their first album is tragic, but what remains is an amazing testament to one of London's best bands and an album that will be played and played and played...

If you like great songs, consumate brilliantly tight musicianship that handles rough edged rock like Queen of the Stone Age then this is for you. I'd be surprised if you don't find Far Gone and Somewhere in the Romance are 'earworms' and with you for days if not weeks. The guys in this band are North London and often found in the scene around The Blues Kitchen in Camden. Lucky you if you can catch them there, if not make sure you see them when they come to town.

This is a great album and will not disappoint.
