Product Description

Here is the first real look at the facts about Witchcraft and the religion of Wicca. As renowned author Scott Cunningham plainly states, the practice of magic is not supernatural or Satanic. Witches and folk magicians are only utilizing, through timeless rituals, natural energies found within the Earth and our bodies to enrich life by creating positive change. It's all revealed here in the easy-to-read, understandable style that was Scott Cunningham's trademark.

Praise for The Truth about Witchcraft Today "A really good introduction to Witchcraft and Wicca. . . . I thought it was wonderful." -Marian Zimmer Bradley, The Mists of Avalon ..". the first book I recommend to those seeking information about my religion." -Ellen Cannon Reed, The Witches' Tarot "One of the best introductory books about Witchcraft and folk magic." -The Broom Closet, BroomCloset.com --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars The only book for beginners, 22 Aug 1998
By A Customer
The words of Scott Cunningham are the only words I'd trust to inform someone who was lacking information about Wicca. So many people stereotype witchcraft, and not many are dedicated to educating. Scott Cunningham has a way of explaining, and not misleading, the topic of Pagan religions. I only wish I could force every man, woman, and child to read this book and understand that we mean no harm. This book IS what witchcraft is today, and I want the entire world to know it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great way to explain your paganism to family/friends!, 11 Feb 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Truth About Witchcraft (Paperback)
This book gives an overview of basic beliefs that are common to most pagans. Brilliant if you are curious about paganism; even better if you're a pagan who wants to explain what you are (and what you AREN'T) to the people around you. Give them this book, then sit back and wait for a discussion about your beliefs that WON'T include any "I'm so worried about your devil-worship phase" type comments, for once!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for explaining the truth about what it is we do., 8 Aug 2001
This review is from: The Truth About Witchcraft (Paperback)
After begining a new job i found a certain amount of intolerance about my religion, largely to do with lack of understanding of my religion. This book was simple to read and very informative highlighting the principles of witchcraft and what it is we do. The way that it is split into smaller sections means that the reader can read each point made and easily digest it befor moving on to the next issue that is dealt with. It is truly excellent!
