I couldn't believe how versatile this device is. It is a standard wireless mouse, a wireless trackball, a very controllable wireless presenter (reason for purchase), with laser pointer. The rechargeable batteries combined with the docking device (which also allows the USB transmitter/receiver to be plugged in), allows a one point 'plug and go' device, which I now use with my laptop instead of the touch pad. So far, so good, only time will tell how reliable it is.

I bought this so I could surf one handed whilst a few feet away from my PC and it works really well for this with the trackball and trigger type buttons underneath. It's also a very comfortable desktop mouse too and seems to last for ages without needing to be put on the charging cradle. It was easy to set up and the removable sensor thingy and charging cable are a great touch for travelling.

I bought this to replace the old Logitech wireless mouse/presenter as it stopped working after good 5 years. As a university lecturer who likes walking around in the classroom I needed a presenter with laser pointer to use in lectures that also works as a wireless mouse. After reseacrhing various alternatives I settled on this.

Overall I'm happy with it, although it's not perfect. For basic presenter and mouse functions it's virtually plun-and-play. It comes with the software to configure some buttons, it only works with the PC you install the software hence it's not much of use to me as I have to use the classroom PCs to deliver lectures. The USB receiver is detachable from the cradle so it's handy to carry around. If I can be a bit more demanding a carrying pouch would be much appreciated, as I need to be careful not to lose the USB receiver.

It's really good and vesatile, but slight shortcoming of this kit is, as a mouse, the optical sensor is probably a little too sensitive and as the click buttons are a little hard hence I have to click rather firmly, when I click something the cursor sometimes moves away from what I tried to click.

Another problem I sometimes have is this very sensitive track ball. As a mouse it works as a scroll wheel, both vertical and horizontal (very clever!) but as it's so sensitive it's hard to control. I scroll up or down to where I want it, and when I release my finger the ball moves ever so slightly, and it scrolls somewhere else. Also, as it's a ball, it is sometimes hard to differentiate between vertical and horizontal scroll. When I use it as a presenter, you can also use this track ball to move between PowerPoint slides. Due to its high sensitivity when I put it down on the table the impact moves a slide if I'm not careful (and I'm not exactly a forceful person!).

I guess I just need to get used to this sensitivity and eventually get used to it. Overall it's a great little gadget, but tests your patience at the beginning.
