The batteries runs down very quickly. This isn't helped as there is no auto power-off on the mouse. When the mouse is not in use for extended periods of time the laser remains on, draining the battery. There is no power meter to let you know that the reason that the mouse has stopped responding is because it has run out of juice. I have to resort to using the power USB connector and the USB remote sensor at the same time...

Secondly, the middle mouse button is too hard to depress, you have to consciously strain the click it down.

All in all, don't wate your time...

I got one of these recently and was impressed with what you get for an inexpensive mouse. I don't have a problem with battery life, typically needing to re-charge once a week via the supplied USB cable. I use my laptop regularly in the evenings.

It does have an auto-off but I don't know how quick this is in comparison to other mice. It does not have any means of switching off manually which means that the LED will always re-activate at the slightest touch so I guess if you're going to cart it around (in the little bag provided) you should take the batteries out. When the battery runs low the scroll wheel lights up on movement but this isn't obvious.

All in all, nice little mouse for the money.

Pretty useful mouse 17 April 2007
By Al
I bought this mouse a couple of days ago from an airport. I am happy with it as it contains all that you need to start using immediately.

The mouse responds well and there is no discernable lag in normal office type use, however I have not used it to play games.

I've charged the mouse for around 20 mins and have been using it for around 6 or 7 hours without a problem.

I share the view with an earlier reviewer that the batteries are subject to drain when the mouse is placed in a laptop bag that is moving around. Basically the mouse just does not switch off. I emailed Trust support and got the following (amusing) reply complete with typos:

'Dear customer;

Thanks for your e-mail.

As sson as the device do not dispose of any switch on/ off function we

sugest you to remover the batteries after it's use'

I'm happy with my purchase though and would recommend this product.
