Beyond Expectation! 16 Jan 2009
I got hold of this tablet after deciding I needed an upgrade to an old out of date tablet. And I've owned a Wacom A5 before that. So I knew what I needed, and trust me, if you need a tablet for drawing then you need something bigger than A5 period! The difference is huge!

It doesn't look as bad as the pictures that are used, it actually looks like the genius tablet pictures in person, the border is actually clear and shiny, the build feels very solid, not perfect but impressive for the price I got it for. It actually looks quite professional when you hold it.

I absolutly love it, this tablet is very smooth and precise and I've actually converted from mouse to this for web surfing, it's so easy to navigate with a click and flick, if you've had sore wrists from using the mouse for too long try switching to pen! you'll be surprised!

I got it for graphics and animation mainly, so it had to work with the software that I would be using, The Pressure Sensitivity doesn't work with CS4 at the moment probably cos CS4 and this tablet is fairly new? so I presume they will have an update for this fix in the future.
The round rotating switches top left and right for zooming or scrolling are a neat feature, I never thought I would need something like that but once you use it you realise it would increase productivity, so its a very nice plus.
The main software I used did have pressure sensitivity with this tablet so I was happy with that, CS4 Photoshop is secondary so its no big deal for me.

This is the amazing thing about computers, brand doesn't always mean the best! for a £78(yes 78!, its not a typo, rounded off, actually cheaper) A4 tablet, Wacom had better watch out!

If you need a graphics tablet you can't really go wrong with this one!

UPDATE:
Confirmed! pressure sensitivity does work in CS4 Photoshop 32 Bit and 64 Bit with the latest drivers.

Well finding this out, I can't recomend a better tablet! Amazing!

Great Graphics Tablet 16 Feb 2009
I had never used a graphics tablet before and had been told to get a WACOM tablet, as they were head and shoulders above the competition.

The WACOM tablet that seemed to match my needs came in at a cost of over £250, which seemed a great deal for something I will not use very often.

The TRUST TB-7300 seemed to offer the sesitivity of the WACOM tablet I was interested in but came with a larger A4 sized active drawing area, at a cost of less than £90.

Having been warned about cheaper alternatives to the WACOM, I was initially very wary of opting for the TB-7300 tablet, so checked up on any reviews I could find on the internet before making the purchase.

The TB-7300 seemed to come out highly recommended with good build quality and operation being mentioned, however some doubt was shed on driver compatability under Linux.

This didn't really worry me as I run under Widows XP, so I went ahead and made the purchase.

I am so glad I didn't waste my money on the WACOM now.

The drivers for the TB-7300 installed under Windows XP with ease and setup of the Hot Keys to work in GIMP 2.6 my preffered graphics program took no time.

Pressure Sensitivity worked in GIMP 2.6 instantly and the large active area made airbrushing of photo's so much less of a chore than the mouse I had been using.

The intitial setup of the tablet drivers made the pen respond to absolute positions, which I really like compared to the mouse way of working, it took no time to learn instinctively where to place pen for positions on the screen, this advantage, I assume would be lost on a tablet with a smaller active area, such as the cheaper WACOM's.

Although I have never used a WACOM graphics tablet, I have difficulty wondering how they could improve on the operation of the TB-7300, with its easy install and setup of some 30 odd hot keys. Not to mention the slider wheels for large area browsing.

The pen feels comfortable in my hand when working and takes a single AAA battery which will last for 3months continual usage according to TRUST.

This really is a great product at a great price.

This was an ungrade in size from a Wacom (Volito 2) and it is a far superior piece of kit. It has so many programmable options with the buttons around the edge of the work area. The 2 manual button/rotary slider controls to suit left or right handers are a dream when you get used to the function. If you are ungradeing please note - you will have to do a new settings run in your software.
Obvious maybe but I first thought this didn't work properly when I tried it, my programmes where configured to the old Wacom setting! Then I found out what a joy this is to use, and better than my old one by far.
I have used it to its full potential with Photoshop, Artrage 2 and Painter. You know it is a great tool to use as you don't notice you are using it, the functions becomes natural and flowing.

As mentioned in my title this has the worst instruction booklet possible, the diagrams and text where far too small and not that clear, although the software installation was quite easy to do. I suppose having to do 21 laguages in a manual must be difficult but a large single A4 sheet would have been far clearer than the postage stamp images and more helpful.
