Trust 10 Port USB 2.0 Desktop Hub

Trust introduces our Curve 10 port USB hub, which increases the current number of USB ports on your computer or manages them into one easy-to-reach port.

This is a high-speed USB hub which is compatible with both USB 2.0 and 1.1 specifications, allowing for use with newer and older devices with different USB specifications. The Trust 10 port hub is also mains powered enabling you to have multiple devices attached that require more power than the master USB port alone can supply. This provides the devices with stable operation and makes sure each product can be charged and connected to the computer at the same time.

There are a number of situations where this USB hub can make a huge difference!

For personal use, the Trust 10 port hub allows for a clutter-free experience whilst on a desktop. Many people are now using far more USB related products in the home such as printers, mice, keyboards, iPhones/iPads, hard drives, digital cameras and this can leave a messy range of cables on a desk or behind your computer. The advantage of this USB hub is providing you with a singular input of USB ports with only one master cable running between the hub and the computer. The hub can then be tidily placed on a desk with the cables neatly managed so they are as tidy as possible. Then when you need to move the computer, notebook or netbook, simply remove one USB cable and move around. Likewise, when you return to your workstation, plug in one USB and you are connected to all your devices.

Business Use

For larger businesses, the Trust 10 port USB hub continues to provide all these different benefits but this product really comes into its own in a much busier working environment. From having to move between multiple desks or meeting rooms and the various equipment levels being wider ranged the having each workspace and meeting room setup in the simplest way possible will make huge improvements in time management and simply be easier to work with.

Key Benefits

Overall, the Trust 10 Port USB hub has many benefits. It's a compact yet beneficial tool which will perform a necessary space saving and tidy job without any difficulty or technical knowledge required. The hub comes with the necessary cables to attach it to the computer as well and the power adapter to make sure multiple devices can be charged/connected at the same time. It is fully compatible with Windows 7, Vista and XP and doesn't require any software or drivers to install. Once it is out of the packaging it will be able to work straight away.

Trust warranty

As with every Trust product, this item comes with a 3 year warranty. The Trust website can provide you with full detailed features of the product as well as a FAQ section to offer further assistance. The website also allows for registration so you can receive up to date information about your product as well as future Trust products and promotions. Every single instruction manual can be downloaded from the website if it has been lost or is unavailable.

This hub does just want I wanted it to a) work with Windows 7 b) be the single cable required to attach to my laptop, and off the hub hang my mouse, keyboard, bluetooth adapter, printer and my scanner. (Oh, and thumb drive too).

All worked well for 24 hours. Then I couldn't get my laptop to recognise it anymore, and various nasty error messages about not recognising generic hubs came out! I frustratedly tried all the workarounds and then realised that whenever I moved the unit and inadvertantly touched the cable between the hub and the laptop the two started to talk to eachother! I then remembered that among the earlier customer comments I had read for this product there was mention of problems with the cable. So I rooted around in my box of bits and found an old USB cable that had connected my faithful old Palm PDA*.
I used it and hey presto - all started to work and has now been successfully running for two weeks.

So it pays to read the customer comments. This product does the job - but the cable connector from the laptop into the hub can be loose and fail to work. If so, find another cable.

* My Palm Zire 72 didn't connect to Win 7 by cable anymore (no drivers) - but its Bluetooth does - hence the need to add a blue tooth adapter to my setup - and thus the value of a 10 port hub Trust 10 Port Usb 2.0 Power Hub - and I still have a couple of free ports - one will be for my backup disk when it comes!

Has anyone ever got enough USB ports? Here we have 10. The hub is bit like an elongated tobacco tin (gosh, I'm showing my age), silver and black in colour, with five ports at the front, four at the back, and one on the right-hand side. There's a mains adapter, as you'd expect, and a discreet blue LED to show power.

When you attach the leads, if you put some on both front and back, the thing is pretty stable, and doesn't try to leap off the desk like some hubs. It really just does the job, very well.

Excellent USB HUB 31 Mar 2010
I ordered this a few weeks ago and it arrived very quickly!

It arrived in a fustrating blister pack - so beware and have something ready to cut into the packaging.
All the required cables were in the pack and the item worked first without any issues on Windows 7.

There is a slight difference to one one pictured on the site as the one I received has a blue-led on the top - not greed as pictured. But that is not a problem.

The hub is very small and very light and the power cable is nice and long so this reaches to the spot on my desk that I wanted it.

Thanks Trust for a brilliant hub!
