The single best book on trust! 28 Jan. 2010
By Kenneth Kaye - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Dozens of books have been published (and hundreds of articles) about trust in human affairs, across all the social sciences. I have read most of them. Russell Hardin contributed to many of the others, and in this book he transcends them all. In 184 pages, he covers both the breadth and depth of what we know, and don't yet know about how and why people make the risky decision to rely on others. He writes with authority, yet in clear, simple, and often entertaining sentences.
I don't know Russell Hardin. I admire him. This is the most valuable addition I've made to my shelf on the subject of trust.
Kenneth Kaye, Ph.D. (author of two specialized books with the word Trust in the title).

Great summary of the literature on trust including how it relates to social capital. The book is accessible and easy to read.
