About the Author

Samantha Vickery is the creator of Love Parenting. She is wildly passionate about parenting as nature intended, and is striving to raise her son with trust for his biological instincts and respect for his independence.

She created Love Parenting to provide information and inspiration to parents who want to bring more natural, gentle and mindful practices into their parenting, and aid them in finding the joy in trusting their instincts and most importantly, their children.

Sam has worked with children from birth to teens, with and without additional needs and in a wide range of settings. She has dedicated her time to learning how to get results, forging stress free relationships and seeing happier children in the process. She has found time and time again, that once a connection is formed, less behavioural issues and more cooperation are the result.

In her spare time if she isn't writing, she can be found reading - devouring books of all kinds from parenting literature to novels. Her days are spent searching for snails, jumping on beds, reading in dens and walking through the forest, with the best little companion in the whole world.

Sam believes that parenting can be an incredible and joyful experience, and shares her advice on making this a reality within her writing. Her goal is to enable children and parents everywhere to have the lives they deserve, filled with love, nature, connection and respect.

I loved this book! As a parent who tries to parent in a gentle and instinctive way I have found this book to give a real insight into my son's life and way of seeing his environment. It supported my way of parenting and gave me advice in some areas that I have struggled with. It reminded me of what an absolute gift a toddler is and how much I hate the phrase "terrible twos"!

It is set out in a clear way and offers advise on most areas of life with a toddler and some of the struggles we can have.

One of the reviews for this book say "Reading this is like having an intimate conversation with a like minded friend" and I couldn't agree more. I can dip into it anytime I feel I need some advice for my son. The chapters are so well laid out I can find what I need for that particular area in no time. It is written like you are receiving advice from a lovely mummy friend. I think this is a valuable resource for anybody taking the journey of peaceful parenting.

Found myself nodding the whole way through. Just read the whole book in one hit! Was lovely to feel the connection and resonance with the way i parent my child. It feels reassuring to read what i already instinctually feel. This book really came to me at the right time. THANK YOU!

I would recommend this book to all parents who want to raise emotionally healthy children. Until now I have felt like the odd-one-out with viewing things from my children's perspectives, and looking at long-term rather than short-term goals with them. Samantha speaks from the heart, to the heart...and gives you heart to keep going with bucking the conventions and doing what feels right. Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you!...for not only putting all this into words, but also for making those words so easy to connect with.
