Got one of these for my girlfriend as a temporary solution till she buys a separate monitor to alleviate neck ache when on her laptop. She loves it so much she has shelved plans to buy a separate screen. It being portable means she gets to use it both at work and at home to. Also handy for when we connect the tv to her laptop. Good item and great value.

The stand does what it says on the tin - it certainly stops me slouching over my laptop and prevents backache (and grumpiness) from setting in! It's well made, very light, and folds easily - so very portable, although I'd say not really suitable for use directly on your lap...
A couple of niggles as I've had to adapt it to suit my MacBook Air (which admittedly is very thin): I've had to use some self-adhesive pads to lift the base of the laptop up off the stand as it restricted the air vents and my Mac overheated; I've also used a couple of pads on the small central flap (which lifts up to stop the laptop from slithering off the stand) to create a gap between it and the laptop. The flap seemed quite intrusive at first but I'm used to it now, the main problem was the angle of the flap in use - I couldn't open/close the laptop lid without having to jiggle the Mac about on the stand.
Of course, these problems may only apply to the MacBook Air, since adapting the stand I can genuinely give it a big thumbs up. Great product and good value.
