Hi, first of all, I am Portuguese so sorry for my English.
I must say that this device is not quite as expected, I mean, it looks exactly as pictured but not that great in functionality as expected or as it should be. I think Trust likes to complicate things a bit.
I only bought this device and not another one because it's BT 3.0, and although I don't have any other equipment with BT 3.0 yet, but I will soon have soon, so I was already thinking ahead.
Working on my Windows XP (very last century, I now), I didn't encountered any problems installing the device, but you really need to install the drivers and you really need to do that prior of connecting the device to your PC, or you will have a lot of trouble to getting it work. It's a thumb down, since other devices like this don't even need to install any drivers and immediately work great when you plug them. This one doesn't, and if you miss any step as shown on the instructions booklet you're done...
Connectivity looks good, I think the range is only 10 meters but it immediately detects all other devices in the area, and it shows no problems connecting to any devices chosen by you. I connected it to my cell phone and I noticed the following: data transmission seems a little bit slow but my cell phone is only BT 2.0 and I was sending around 20 pictures with 5 MBytes each, but still didn't took longer than 5 minutes; another thing is that you need to confirm the transfer of every single file, and this is really boring, because unlike sending files to other cell phones, that you can send them all at once and the other phone simply receives them all without bothering you, in this case, you have to accept each incoming file, and so you need to be in front of you PC the hole time, waiting for a file to complete its transfer, then click OK to accept the next file, waiting again for it to complete its transfer, again click OK to the next one... and so on... to all the files you want to transfer.
In my opinion, this is the worst con of this device, it is really annoying and it really complicates a thing that should be so simple, and I know that similar devices of other brands don't seem to show this "problem".
And yes, I have tried to solve this "problem" in the device software options and configuration menus, and it indeed has an option to accept all incoming files from other devices without the need of confirmation, but it seems that having that option on or off it really makes no difference since the device behaviour is always the same (the boring transfer)...
Well that's is all I can remember right now, although it complicates things a lot it does all that I wanted from a device like this, but still my advice would be: don't buy this one just because it's BT 3.0 if you're really not going to need it, instead buy from another brands even if they are only BT 2.0 or 2.1, and try to choose one that doesn't require the installing drivers!!
