Planet Earth is a big place, full of natural beauty and wonder. Top Trumps takes you on a tour across the globe to look at what we think are the 30 most amazing natural wonders of the world. See the majesty of the Matterhorn, the view of Vesuvius and the grandeur or Guilin. Learn where the deepest lake in the world is and the unexpected places you might find a volcano. Which is farthest from London...Uluru or Iguassu falls? Which is the hottest, the Sahara Desert or Death Valley? Top Trumps will take you to the ends of the Earth to find out.
Top Trumps has been played since the 1970s when the first packs took the playgrounds of the UK by storm. And its success is partly due to how easy and compelling it is to play: shuffle and deal all the cards face down. Each player takes their cards and holds them so that they can see the top card only. The player to the dealer's left starts by reading out a selected statistic (e.g. Weight). The other players then read out the same statistic from their own top cards. The player with the best or highest value wins and places all the top cards including their own to the bottom of their own pile. It is then that player's turn to choose a statistic from the next card. If two or more cards share the top value or data is unavailable for that statistic, then all the top cards are placed in the middle and the same player chooses from the next card. The winner of that hand takes all the cards from the middle as well. The person with all the cards at the end is the winner, easy.

This was a stocking filler for my son (10) - it was a hit (as is most of the trumps card sets) but a bonus was if you lay all the cards out face down the backs make up a jigsaw type map of the world. Good value game:)

These Top Trumps cards; Wonders of the World were bought for my 9 year old Grandson at Christmas, as a stocking filler.
What excellent value. Not only did Jimmy enjoy playing with them, but everyone else wanted to play with him. :-) Fascinating facts, a really fun and educational toy that all ages can enjoy.

This is a wonderful alternative to computer games ! all the family can join in and it is easy to design your own games such as guess which wonder of the world has ...hostility 90 or some such questions..
