This CD is the " creme de la creme " of Temptation recordings. I am happy to have purchased one at the lowered price thru Amazon.com. To all you comparative analysis critics who keep matching the different personnel lineups that occured from time to time within this group, none could qualify as a more stellar lineup than this one, although I personally believe that all of their lineups were a stroke of genius for their varing tenures. Richard Street's vocals are exceptional, as are Ron Tyson's, who for my money, had a little more range than Eddie Kendricks. Not to say he was any better, I'm just saying that each group member brought their own personality to the group ( After all, they weren't looking for clones ). Just listen to the opening lines on " How Can You Say That It's Over. " This Can't Be True, That The Best Of Our Love Is Way Behind, We Can Find It Together..." That and the second line is Richard Street's, although he could be easily mistaken for Ron Tyson! The third line is sung by Ron Tyson. Many forget that Richard was the tenor in the Distants vocal group of the 50's led by Otis Williams, another outstanding vocalist whose smooth tenor contributed to many Temptations hits though he often did not sing lead on most of their recordings. Then there is Ali-Ollie Woodson, that phenomenal voicemaster they picked up in 1983. What a Gem!!! " Treat Her Like A Lady " showcases his exquisite pipes. Man, none of the Temps, present or former, could squall like him!!! I wouldn't say that he was better than David Ruffin or Dennis Edwards, but he certainly kept the group afloat. Melvin Franklin, as usual, has fantastic bottom vocals as always. Ron Tyson's lead on " Truly For You " solidifies his sweet falsetto as truly his own!!! Other entries on this disc: Running, Memories, Just To Keep You In My Life, Set Your Love Right, and I'll Keep My light In My Window evens out this essential package. Get this CD while you can!!!
