once again babette cole has come up with a winner. this book is ideal for anyone of any age who has been or is in love. if you've ever wanted to know 'what is love' this story will fill you in.
The truelove in the title is a rather scruffy dog who's owners have a new arrival, a baby! truelove soon discovers what 'truelove' is all about in this tale filled with humour, sadness and joy.
the illustrations are (as you'd expect from ms cole) wonderful.
i would certainly recommend this book as a gift for the one you love .
"love means sharing", and this is a book definately worth sharing.

Perfect for a older sibling .. Babette Cole's great!

I have always been a huge fan of Babette Cole (Dr. Dog) and she has once again thrilled me and my child with her new book.Truelove is the name of the puppy in the book , and when the new baby comes the puppy feels ignored and "not loved". The images are a riot and wonderful , the message is wonderful. This is a hit with my daughters, and myself !
My friend's daughter slept with this book for weeks.

I found this book in a supermarket discount bin. It's one of those lovely books to help older toddlers cope with having a new brother or sister. My friend's daughter slept with this book for weeks after her baby sister was born, so it was a big hit! It's nice that all the jealous feelings are projected onto the dog, not another kid. Makes it more palatable, I think.
