3.0 out of 5 stars Easy to follow stories 1 Nov 2012
By WF3
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Different accounts about First World War exploits and heroes, really helpful for those with limited knowledge of that war. Stories are easy to follow, but maybe the book is just a bit on the short side. Still, it's important we don't forget that war, and the bravery of the people then, after all we're reaping the benefit of their sacrifices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly popular with Middle School students 1 Dec 2009
By Mike Henry - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I was amazed at how many of my 8th grade students enjoyed this book. I added it to my classroom library and now the students wait for its availability. For those of you using "Lexile ranges," it has a Lexile Level of 1140. Quick read, 145 pages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great introduction to WWI for Middle School Students 16 Dec 2013
By Aquarian Angie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Instead of giving basic facts that someone will forget, this series weaves facts with stories that students can relate to and remember. It really brings history to life when they can understand the impact war has on individuals.

5.0 out of 5 stars very interesting 7 Dec 2007
By Mary Peterson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I am reading this to my grandson. He is really interested in WWII. It is very interesting and we are learning a lot of things we never knew. Very easy reading. We are only a third of the way through and would recommend this book for any age group. I am really enjoying it and so is he.
